⛵💙 Tomorrow’s the Day… and it’s your last chance to sponsor Elsie! 💙⛵

Tomorrow, Elsie will be taking on the legendary Eddystone Charity Sailing Pursuit, pushing herself out on the water in support of something she loves on her family’s yacht. Ninja Penguin: 🐧

If you’ve been meaning to sponsor her but haven’t got round to it yet, this is your last chance! Every donation, big or small, makes a real difference and helps support more people to experience the freedom and adventure of sailing.

We’re incredibly proud of her for taking on this challenge, and we know she’ll give it everything she’s got.

Please cheer her on, share this post, and if you can, make a donation before she sets off tomorrow. 💙⛵

Fair winds, Elsie – we’re all behind you! 🌊

⛵ What a fantastic day at the Torbay Invitational!

Our two crews crossed the finish line in a very respectable 16th and 17th place, but the biggest win of the day wasn’t on the scoreboard…

💙 Together, we raised over £1,200 to help us continue providing accessible sailing opportunities for disabled people across Devon.

A huge thank you to everyone who sailed with us, donated, volunteered, cheered us on, and supported today’s event. Every pound raised helps us get more people out on the water to experience the freedom, confidence and joy that sailing brings.

Congratulations to all the competitors, and thank you to the organisers, sponsors and fellow crews for making it such a brilliant day.

We’re already looking forward to next year! 🌊⛵

🌊⛵ It’s Race Day! ⛵🌊

The excitement is building as we get ready for a fantastic day at the Torbay Invitational Race, at Royal Torbay Yacht Club!

Our team is looking forward to a day of great sailing, friendly competition and, most importantly, celebrating that the sea is for everyone.

A huge thank you to the organisers, volunteers, sponsors and supporters who make events like this possible. We can’t wait to get out on the water and share the day with so many amazing sailors.

If you’re following along today, keep an eye out for updates and photos throughout the event – and don’t forget to cheer on all the crews taking part! 💙

Good luck to everyone racing today, and here’s to fair winds and fantastic sailing! 🌬️⛵

🕰️ A Day at the Antiques Roadshow! 🎥

Yesterday, members of the Disabled Sailing Association enjoyed a fantastic day out at the filming of the BBC Antiques Roadshow at the beautiful Dartington Hall.

Set in the stunning grounds of Dartington Hall Estate and Gardens, the event brought together people from all walks of life, each with their own fascinating treasures and stories to share. Our members had the opportunity to experience the excitement of the filming, meet some of the experts, and soak up the wonderful atmosphere of this iconic British programme.

It was also a great chance to catch up with friends, enjoy an accessible day out, and explore the historic surroundings. Events like these highlight the importance of creating opportunities for everyone to take part in community activities, regardless of ability.

A special highlight was meeting the really friendly and wonderful Fiona Bruce, who made us feel especially welcome, and getting a behind-the-scenes glimpse of how the programme is made. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that some familiar faces make it into the final broadcast!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so enjoyable. We look forward to seeing the episode when it airs and reliving a memorable day at Dartington.

What an amazing shot! ✈️⛵

This photo was sent in by one of our members who was onboard DSA Freedom yesterday as the aircraft from the English Riviera Airshow put on a spectacular display over Torbay.

Being out on the water gave our sailors a front-row seat to the action, with some incredible views of the aircraft overhead. It’s moments like these that make a day afloat with the DSA so memorable.

We’re back out on the water again today and looking forward to another fantastic day of sailing!

A huge thank you to our member for sharing this brilliant photo with us.
