🏆 Dainton Park Golf Club Named Junior Club of the Year! 🏆
We are absolutely delighted to announce that we have been crowned Junior Club of the Year at the 2026 Golf Foundation President’s Awards, receiving the award at Nick Dougherty's presentation ceremony at Wentworth this week. The award recognises clubs that are leading the way in junior development and creating outstanding opportunities for young people to get into golf and progress through the game.
This achievement is the result of years of dedication from our PGA Professional Brad Sercombe, whose passion for junior golf has helped transform the club's junior section into one of the country's leading programmes. Week after week, Brad gives up countless hours running the Junior Academy, delivering coaching sessions, organising competitions, mentoring young golfers, and providing encouragement and support at every stage of their golfing journey.
Credit must also go to our Junior Organiser Chris Millington, whose support and dedication has been instrumental in helping build such a successful junior section. Together, Brad and Chris have developed a complete pathway for young golfers that has seen the junior membership grow from around 40 members in 2019 to over 120 active juniors today.
On Tuesday 15 September, Brad, Chris and some members of the Dainton Park Junior Academy travelled to Wentworth to proudly collect the award on behalf of the club from Nick Dougherty.
This award belongs to every junior, parent, volunteer and supporter who has contributed to making Dainton Park such a special place for young golfers. We are incredibly proud of what has been achieved and excited for what the future holds.
