Yesterday saw the club host the Wiltshire County over 45s Championships , hete is how it went ...

We had new players enter the event this year , including 5 players from our club which is great to see , Gary Walters made it through to the main draw 1/4 finals before losing to the number 1 seed , Chris Lamming played his heart out and got through to the 1/4 finals of the plate competition, Mark McGuiness made it through to the 1/4 finals of the main draw. Steve Ruddick made it through to the plate semi final. And Paul Ruddick won the plate competition a huge well done to Paul ,

The main competition saw some very high level squash throughout with the final being contested between the number 1 seed Simon Lucas vs number 2 seed Nigel Rowe which was a cracking match to watch it went the way of Simon Lucas very well done to you Simon .

The club is hugely proud to have held the championships this year. And would like to say thank you to everyone that came along to support and of course a massive thank you to the players that entered you all played well .

Finally the winner of the £100 prize draw was Simon Lucas , this was picked by club chairman Jim Conway

Tonight the Team was due to play Marlborough 1s in the latest round of the Wiltshire County Summer League Season. But sadly Marl1s could not raise a side which means that we have been awarded a home walkover giving us another 19 points which depending on results tonight could mean we go top or close the gap even further. The race for top spot is getting close with only 6 matches left
