Royal T Boxing: Parkinson’s Friendly Sessions

Right here in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Royal T Boxing is proud to welcome people living with Parkinson’s to join our specially designed, supportive boxing sessions – starting Friday 4th September, 7pm–8pm,Created to help you build strength, improve balance, boost coordination and keep active in a safe, encouraging and fun environment, you don’t need any boxing experience whatsoever; every activity is adapted to suit your ability, pace and mobility, so you can take part comfortably and confidently.

Your safety and wellbeing is always our highest priority. All our coaches hold enhanced DBS checks, alongside official safeguarding training and certified first aid qualifications. Crucially, every one of our team has also successfully completed the dedicated Parkinson’s Boxing Course delivered by England Boxing, equipping us with specialist knowledge and skills to design and lead exercises that work safely and effectively for people with Parkinson’s. We take the time to understand your individual needs, working at a pace that suits you, with plenty of rest opportunities and positive encouragement throughout.

These sessions are about far more than physical exercise too – they’re a welcoming local community where you can meet new people from around Royal Tunbridge Wells, share experiences and enjoy a real sense of achievement. We focus on building confidence, steadying movement and keeping spirits high, all while having a great time. Whether you’re looking to maintain mobility, lift your mood or simply try something new, we’d love to welcome you from Friday 4th September at 7pm.

Tonight will be our last session before we have a summer break for our boxers ( and coaches ) to have a well earned rest before the new season. We have a few new registered boxers ready to go in the new season. Be ready for some hard graft on our return. A big thank you all for your hard work and support over the last season, so great achievements earned as boxers and a cub. 🥊🥊🥊🥊

Well what can we say, what a night we had. We have put Tunbridge Wells back on the map in the boxing world. We had so much support for our boxers even we can’t believe it. So a few thank yous are needed. Thank you first to the local businesses that helps with some sponsorship with out your support we would not be where we are today. Next out raffle donations and your donations helped raise much needed funds. All of the officials and refs for running the bouts weigh ins. who provided the catering and ice cream van. for allowing us to host at their venue. The girls on the door and selling the raffle tickets , the club members for helping between bouts cleaning the gloves. for providing the music and MCing what a job . But most of all the boxers from all the clubs that attended making it a great night of boxing, we will see you in a few months to do it all again 🥊🥊
