Yesterday, I sat in a room full of nutritionists - people whose entire job is helping other people feel better - and it was clear that most felt 'I'm not where I should be'.

That's why perfectionism needs to be better understood. It's not about wanting to look good to others. It's about always feeling like you're about to be found out. Moving the finish line every time you get close to it. Accepting a compliment without immediately explaining it away.

It's not that you have high standards. It's that some part of you still thinks you have to work excessively to earn the good things in your life and that you haven't done that yet.

So you keep going, but it's never enough.

This is the work I do, and I love it . I help men and women understand their perfectionist type, the specific way theirs shows up, and where it came from, so they can finally stop treating life like an assessment to pass.

There are five types, and most people recognise themselves in one within about thirty seconds.

Take the Perfectionist Types Quiz to find out which one you are. Message me QUIZ, and I'll send it straight over.

You won't find another coach like me, and here's why that matters for your results.

I'm am qualified and skilled in key areas - my Master Intuitive Psychology Coaching diploma with The Intuitive Psychology ® Association - Coach Training being the one I am proud of.

But credentials aren't the point. The point is what they let me do - work on all three layers at once.

Most coaching stays on the surface - structure, plans, habits. Real change happens underneath, where the pattern actually lives. That is the work I am trained for, and it's why I see shifts other modalities don't reach.

I've also identified 5 core perfectionist types. Each one procrastinates, overthinks, and overcommits for a completely different reason. Coaching the wrong type is why generic advice bounces off you.

Swipe to see what makes this different → then find your type using the quiz in my bio.

Sit down to watch TV and can't focus for 5 minutes?

You don't have a focus problem, you have a permission problem.

Somewhere along the way you learned that stopping meant falling behind, so even your rest has to be earned. You sit down, your brain starts running through everything you should be doing, and you stand up more tired than when you sat down.

Here's the thing: forcing yourself to switch off doesn't work. Give your mind a job instead.

Before you sit down, write down the 3 things you keep fixing on. Not to take action with anything, just to park them somewhere visible.

Every time you notice your attention drift, remind yourself: "Relaxing isn't a waste of time. Ideas need space to consolidate, and my best thinking happens precisely when I don't force it."

You are not losing momentum by resting. It is essential for the momentum to continue.

If this is you, you're almost certainly a Visionary Perfectionist. Take the quiz to check - message me "QUIZ" and I'll send it over. 💫

My old running commentary was exhausting...

I should have exercised more last week.
Why did I not fast last night?
I hate how my stomach looks.
I wonder how low I can drop my calories.
I look terrible compared to that girl.
I wonder if people can tell what I'm thinking.
Will I ever not worry?

I thought I was just hyper self-aware. I was a perfectionist, and it had been running my life for years. I realised that I would never feel good enough about my body when there was never a viable finish line.

I was simply looking for evidence to support a story I had been living in.

I had the choice to change that story. And I did.

That's what I do now - help you to recognise the stories you can change and how to do just that. If you resonate, know that you don't have to figure it out alone. Message me "COACH", and I'll send you exactly how this works.

You may think negative self-talk is needed to keep you on track. Many perfectionists do.

It doesn't work like that.

Being able to surrender and allow difficult emotions rather than battle or ignore them is LIFECHANGING.

No more internal conflict.
No more horrid inner monologue.
No more guilt and shame.

Just peace that you can move with and through your feelings.

Take the Perfectionist Types Quiz to see which of the 5 you are and get started with feeling good about yourself.

Message me with "QUIZ" and I'll send it over.

CONTROLLING PERFECTIONIST SERIES: When you realise you don't need to hold it all, the relief is immense.

You can see that you have been living within a story that drains you. And one that can change.

This is why coaching is so effective.

It gives you the space to understand your patterns and see a different perspective. Working with intuitive means new insight comes rapidly.

If you recognise yourself in this post, message me with "PERFECT" and let's chat.

EMPATHETIC PERFECTIONIST... Sometimes, perfectionism looks like being terrified of disappointing people.

Saying yes when you mean no. Over-explaining your decisions. Replaying conversations. Feeling guilty when someone is unhappy. Trying to anticipate everyone's needs.

You believe that if someone is disappointed, you must have done something wrong.

Perhaps it means you chose yourself, set a boundary, changed your mind, or made a decision they wouldn't have made.

You can care deeply about people without making their approval the measure of whether you're doing life right or not.

If this resonates, you are likely to be an empathetic perfectionist. Take the quiz to check which of the 5 you types you are. Message me with "QUIZ" and I'll send it over.

PRODUCTIVE PERFECTIONIST SERIES...

"I don't know who I am if I'm not doing."

If that sentence lands, you are probably a Productive Perfectionist.

To others it just appears you are driven, self-motivated and able to get lots done. But at some point, achievement and being productive started becoming the rule by which you are allowed to feel good about yourself.

So you can't slow down, and rest doesn't feel like relief when you finally get it. It just feels like evidence you are falling behind.

This isn't a character flaw. It's an adaptive strategy that keeps you safe - one you can explore and challenge.

Sit with one question: What do you fear might happen if you slow down?

Take the quiz to check which perfectionist type you are - message me "QUIZ" and I'll send it over. 💫

The women who shaped me not just in life but in death too.

My mum made me feel like I could do anything if I felt drawn to it. She championed me. Gave me permission to feel sad with questioning. Listened and held me when I needed it. My unwavering source of comfort.

How lucky I was to have such an angel in my life for 38 years.

And even in death, she continues to shape me.

Her loss broke me in ways I couldn't have imagined. But being broken means rebuilding and an opportunity to do things differently.

To slow down. To seek beauty. To be content. To find meaning. To be courageous with my dreams. To have fun. And most importantly, to be happy with who I am.

I feel her presence so strongly, especially when I'm making bold moves. I can sense her 4ft 9 energy giving me a gentle push. She always believed in me, and the difference now is that I do too.

She would be delighted at the way I am living and how I feel every day. That's in large part down to her constant and love-filled guidance.

How lucky I am to have had her 🩵
