❤️🐴🏡☀️ longest I’ve been at home for ages today ☺️❤️🫶🏼

Hi Guys,

Firstly I cannot thank all of our lovely messages, comments and WhatsApp’s that has had my phone on fire this week! I’ve had to re charge my phone twice a few days on the trot at work! 🙈

From customers who we have had a few weeks right through to decades, fellow friends, yard owners, friends with riding schools, breeders and breaking yards to equine professionals in physio, transportation, and farriers and farmers! I’ve so many appreciation messages to send! Honestly the support you have given is phenomenal! Offers of support, any help you can offer and well wishes has really made me power on! It really shows how amazing the equine and agricultural family are!! I will never forget how overwhelming your kindness has been and who has reached out! ❤️

I have cried a few times this week panicking how we can survive another ‘Covid’ like shut down, but the horses are all well and I have a very understanding friend our hay man who will keep me ticking over for a few weeks ❤️

But I’ll try briefly run through the process with you all so you are all upto date and have a rough idea 🐴

All the horses are absolutely fine, some too well 😆🙈 even the poorly pony has no temperature or other symptoms upto press so we just have to wait for the wound to fully heal and we are nearly there, and we will then wait 3 weeks and do a gutteral pouch test to check all infection has completely gone from the area 🐴

Unfortunately Strangles has definitely been doing its rounds locally with us been the 5th I know of in the last 6 months in the area 😣

With been a licensed premises we already have all the protocols, bio security measures, risk assessments in place that we have to update yearly and although I never wanted to test these out - not only is strangles doing the rounds but so is equine flu so it’s a scary time for equestrians and yards.

Everyone is in there bubbles separated into smaller groups, we have some fabulous looking Harris fencing around stables to stop any contact between groups 🙈 all haynets are separated to groups, water is done separately between groups with different methods, hose pipes, carrying zoned buckets, ibc with 2 different hoses pipes as well as dip buckets between everyone, different barrows, forks and brushes to each group, 3 pairs of yard boots on the go sterilising each inbetween each zone, the yard keys, steering wheel and inside the cars - you name it we’ve thought it 💪🏻

Everyone is happy and content I’m beyond exhausted between zones, school runs and still been a mum working most days and evenings everyday, so please don’t think your been ignored I’m just doing having to prioritise the horses daily care inbetween parenting 3 humans and 4 dogs 4 cats and a few tortoises 🙈this is the first night I’ve spent with the kids at home for a cheeky movie night 😮‍💨

But I’ll keep updating you all weekly with how we are getting on and we can’t wait to have you all back asap ☺️

Everyone’s happy having a weekend off and relaxing to the max, plenty of muddy pony’s without there Friday bath session! Joey and Bailey have also become the best of friends this week, who would have thought the 2 Welsh boys would be so pally ☺️🐴

🐴 Strangles Alert 🐴

Unfortunately we have had 1 of our pony’s test positive for Strangles!

Our yard is on full lockdown with all our bio security procedures in place with daily inspections and thorough checks of all horses including temperatures and amazing support from our vets!

No one is to enter the yard until we get a negative result, we have a complete traffic light system in place with continuous disinfecting between all horses and equipment whilst looking after everyone, we will keep you all updated as we go 🐴

Unfortunately this means no riding for a few weeks minimum until we know more and can update 🐎🤞🏼🐴

It’s set to be a lovely weekend with the weather I can’t wait to be out in a t shirt all day we are definitely due this now 😆

We also have a new boy on trail, the very cute Mr Creamie 🤩🦄 he will be seeing what we do over the next few weeks and learning the ropes ☺️🐎

We will be doing more enquires this weekend, we are having a huge amount at the moment, I had 2 enquires at 3am this week via messenger 🙈🐴

A very hands on day learning how to look after the pony in all aspects and riding is included whilst been full supported and having the full experience 🐴☺️🐎
