Meet Carly 👋

She founded FIT FEST WEEKENDER back in 2014, intent on bringing together the best local instructors to present new & exciting fitness concepts, & to provide a weekend where attendees can try new things, meet like-minded people, & let their hair down with a party night & overnight stay!

Carly qualified as a fitness instructor back in
2008, Pilates teacher in 2011 & Personal Trainer in 2013 - taking the plunge in January 2012 to go self employed full time & leave behind her Network Sales Manager role at a local IT Company. And she’s never looked back!

Carly is a proud mum to 4 year old Martha, along with her original babies, her cats Dusty & Pidgy, & Maisie & Thornton, her chocolate spaniels 🐾🐾🐾🐾 She’s an avid horror fan, books & movies & her favourite season is fast approaching too 🎃

“The first thing I do when I arrive at our FIT FEST venue is order a PSL from the onsite Starbucks, it’s a tradition now, as it’ll be 10 years this year that we’ve hosted the event for at Village Hotel Warrington!”

Meet Sarah 👋

Having always loved fitness from a young age, it wasn’t until she attended her first Zumba class that she realised teaching fitness is what she wanted to do.

We are so happy that she does!

Sarah teaches classes alongside her full time retail job however would love to make this her career. “I love happy, poppy, cheesy songs that make everyone smile!”

Sarah’s teaching style is super fun & her Disco Inferno session is always such a retro vibe 🪩

Meet Louise 👋

A fitness instructor since 2011, Louise developed a passion to change the fitness industry into a safe space for all.

“I want my participants to feel valued & part of a community, bringing them confidence & reducing their anxiety”.

In 2016 she created the BOOSTfit brand & programme, to make movement fun, accessible & judgement free - a safe welcoming space to boost your fitness, whilst giving you a full body workout!

When she’s not teaching, Louise is chasing around after her sausage dog & doing treasure cocktail hunts around London with her bestie partner in business & crime 🤣 “I love putting my music on loud & enjoying a cheeky glass of wine”

Meet Alex 👋

From sunny Portugal, Alex came to the UK in 2001 working in sound engineering, then moving into IT services, which meant being sat at a desk for eight hours a day. A few years of that lifestyle really took its toll on his health and wellbeing.

“before I even realised it, I changed from being very fit in my thirties to a couch potato in my forties. My 49th birthday was a turning point. The big 5-0 was looming & I decided if I couldn’t do anything about that, I could certainly be fit at 50. I’m nothing if not determined so the next three years saw me in the gym up to six times a week, dropping four stone in the process.”

As an instructor my initial passion was with High Intensity Interval training… I absolutely love the feeling you get teaching a fast-paced, no nonsense kind of workout & seeing people challenging themselves to work close to their limit throughout each session. The buzz they get as they finish each session covered in sweat (then come back for more the week after) is wonderful to see.
