“She was so proud to be there.” 💙

Ahead of the Warrington Wolves Women’s game against Sheffield the other week, some of our RugBees participants were given the opportunity to walk out alongside the players.

Reflecting on the experience, one parent said:

“It was brilliant to see her walk out with the players and seeing the look on her face. She was so proud to be there.

I think it was a great experience for all of the RugBees to see and be a part of what their future could hold. As a family, we’d love to attend more of the women’s rugby matches.”

For many of our participants, seeing strong female role models in the game can have a lasting impact. As this parent shared:

“When I ask her what she wants to do when she’s older, it’s always a job role, a rugby player and a gladiator. She loves Jodie Ounsley (Fury from Gladiators) and aspires to be like these women.”

Creating opportunities like this is what RugBees is all about – inspiring the next generation, building confidence, and showing young girls that there is a place for them in rugby league.
