JC Dance Academy Building confidence, creativity & a love of dance. 💃🕺

Established 12 years, we offer dance classes from 6 months+ in ISTD Cecchetti Ballet, Tap & Modern, plus Musical Theatre, Street & Break Dance, with adult Ballet, Tap & Zumba. Classes for children:
Street & Break Dance age 4+
ISTD Tap Dance age 3+
Ballerina Bear age 2-4
Hip Hop Hippo age 2-4
ISTD Cecchetti Ballet age 4+
ISTD Modern age 5+

Classes for adults:
Zumba Fitness Monday 8-9pm, Wednesday 11.15-12.15pm, Thursday 7-8pm (booking required)
Adult Tap (Intermediate level) Monday 7-7.45
Beginners Adult Ballet Tuesday 7-7.45pm
Intermediate Adult Ballet Wednesday 7-8pm
Strong Nation (HIIT class) Tuesday 6.30-7.30pm

We’re opening our doors on Wednesday 23rd September for a FREE Ballerina Bear & Me + Hip Hop Hippo & Me trial morning! 🩰🎶

Perfect for little ones aged 6 months+, with a grown-up joining in too. You can stay and enjoy both classes and get a lovely introduction to our fun, friendly preschool dance sessions at JC Dance Academy.

A little shoutout for our gorgeous Nancy tonight ❤️

Today she auditioned alongside around 70 dancers and made it right down to the final 17! 🌟

It wasn’t the outcome she was hoping for and I know she’s feeling disappointed, but I really hope when that disappointment passes she can see what an achievement that actually is.

One of the hardest parts of being a dance teacher is watching a student who gives so much to their dancing deal with disappointment when something doesn’t quite go their way.

Nancy found us after Covid and it has honestly been such a pleasure to teach her and watch her grow. The journey she has been on since joining us has been amazing and I am SO glad she found us ❤️ It genuinely feels like she has been part of JC since she was 2!

Her commitment to dance and the attitude she brings with her week in, week out is something I am incredibly proud of. Talent is important, but commitment, resilience and attitude will take you such a long way in dance and in life.

She is also someone so many of our younger students look up to, and for very good reason ❤️

One audition does not define the dancer you are. Getting down to that final 17 from around 70 dancers is something to be incredibly proud of.

Keep going Nancy, this is just one little part of your journey and we are VERY proud of you ❤️💃
