“Preparations have gone really well training has been intense and the lads are more than up for it, we had a good test against tough bank quay side that has stood us in good stead for the final. We are confident we have enough in the locker to get the win and bring the cup home“

🔵🟡 Rob Campbell Head Coach of Crosfields:

“I’m under no illusions how difficult it is going to be on Saturday , woolston are a solid team

We have prepared as best we can going into this and the game against latchford last week was a great test

I’m confident if we do the right things and look after our own attitudes and efforts we can make it 5 wire cups on the bounce

But we will see Saturday”

It had all the makings to be a fantastic game and it was exactly that. Both teams battled right up the end but Crosfields with their experience managed the game well and came away as winners 👏🏽

🎬 The Saturday Show Down

We have just one semi final game this weekend as the clash between and unfortunately has been cancelled due to Burtonwood struggling with numbers. This means the winner between & will face Woolston on the 21st Feb at Monks Sports

We had a chat with Head Coaches and first up is Head Coach Dave Manfredi from Latchford

“We’re looking forward to the challenge this weekend, its going to be a big ask to come away with the win but everyone’s seen an underdog story before so who knows. We have just got to focus on ourselves because they’ve got class all over the park especially their pack, proper experienced forwards who are tough to stop so we need to make sure we are smart about our game.

I’ve known Rob for years he use to be my coach back at the days of Rylands and has been around the block himself so coming up against him as a coach now will be funny and I know how much he’d hate it if we came away as winners but first there’s a fantastic team stood on the way of that.

I’d advise anyone who is a neutral to get down to Vicky park on Saturday because it will be a cracker of a match”

Head coach of Crosfields Rob Campbell had the following to say

“We are really looking forward to Saturdays game with latchford and are under no illusions of what latchford are going to bring and I know we have to be at the top of our game to see off a young talented group that Dave has brought together through his work at there 18s and I admire it.

We had a tough year last year there’s no denying that but I’m so impressed with my lads willingness to stick together and we have had our most intense pre season I’ve seen but the proof will be when we take the field that’s the great thing about how the Warrington cup is this year it gives us true tests leading into the season.

All I can say is we will come correct Saturday , do the right things with the right attitude and I hope that will be enough to move on to the final the week later”
