Washington Ramblers group was formed in 1983 and offers a wide range of walks throughout the north of England. Pick up is at 9am at Washington Galleries.

We offer three grades of walk in the great outdoors to suit most abilities:
Short walk 3-5 miles
Middle walk 6-8 miles
Long walk 10-12 miles The Washington Ramblers group was formed in 1983 and offers a wide range of walks throughout the north of England. We offer three grades of walk to suit most abilities: a 6-mile amble, a 10-mile ramble, and a longer 12-mile walk. Come and join us every second Sunday for a walk in the great outdoors. Coach travel is offered there and back at a cost of £15 per walk. Our upcoming walks can be found in the events section of our page. There is a small joining fee to cover the cost of running the club but you are more than welcome to come and try out a walk to make sure the group is for you before signing up. What a great way to finish our summer programme🌿🌞, with beautiful blue skies
stunning views and the picturesque village of Coxwold as our final walk.

Our middle walkers completed a fantastic 7 mile circular walk around Coxwold, taking in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside and enjoying some wonderful scenery along the way.
Our short walkers enjoyed a great walk in and around Coxwold, soaking up the charm of this beautiful village and the surrounding countryside.

It was a perfect day of walking, fresh air, great company and fantastic scenery.
A great way to finish off our summer programme🌳🌻🌞

IMPORTANT NOTICE

This Sunday's walk, (13th September) has been changed. This walk is the last walk from our summer programme.
The walk is now Coxwold circular.

A lovely day out walking around Welburn.
Thankfully the weather stayed dry for our circular walk and we had some great views of Castle Howard along the way. There was plenty to see and enjoy, making it a really enjoyable walk.
Another great day exploring the Yorkshire countryside.

Our walk today from Glanton to Powburn started with some rain, but thankfully the sky soon cleared. We had a few hills to climb but the beautiful views made every climb well worth the effort.
We enjoyed some well deserved refreshments at the Running Fox in Powburn where we received a lovely warm welcome and had a chance to relax after our walk.

A fantastic walk with some beautiful scenery along the way.

Another great walk this time from Allendale Town.

The weather was hot and humid but everyone enjoyed the day. The short walkers completed a lovely 4 mile riverside walk while the middle walkers covered over 7 miles, including part of Isaacs Tea Trail , with plenty of stiles and hills to keep things interesting.

More photos from our walk last Sunday around Osmotherley, this time from our long walkers who completed over 12 miles on a fantastic route.

The short walkers completed a 4 mile route around Osmotherley, while the middle walkers tackled a steep climb as they left the village along the Cleveland Way, rewarded with amazing views along the way.
A great day enjoyed by all.
