Here's three things you can do this week to help your child focus better at home.

One. Eye contact when you are giving instructions. Wait until they look at you before you speak.

Two. One task at a time. No "go brush your teeth and feed the dog and grab your shoes." Pick one. Finish. Then the next.

Three. Praise the effort, not the outcome. "You stayed with it" sticks better than "good job."
