What an amazing day we had yesterday — and where do we even start? 🐴🏆
Firstly, a huge thank you to our judges Karl Morris, Richi Grace, Karan Tett and Fiona Clague. The day classes were fabulous and so well attended. We welcomed some new faces alongside our familiar ones, and our judges had some truly fabulous horses and riders forward to them.
Then came the championships… and where do we even begin?! 🤩
Every championship was so well supported, with some wonderful combinations coming forward for our judges. There were plenty of sparkles, lots of smiles, dreams coming true and, most importantly, so many people enjoying their horses. It was fantastic to be able to award places all the way through to 5th place in our championships and see so many competitors taking home something to remember the day by. ✨
To our amazing stewards Amber Victoria , Alison Halliwell , Beth Hibbert and Jade — thank you for your time, hard work and efforts in keeping the rings running so smoothly. Without a good steward, a ring simply doesn’t work, and you all did a brilliant job. 👏
A huge thank you to all the staff at Bold Heath for helping us prepare the venue and for all your help in the office throughout the day. From getting everything ready behind the scenes to helping everything run smoothly on the day, you play such a huge part in making these events happen.
It’s these guys who help make your championships look so presentable and special, from the preparation of the venue to everything that goes on behind the scenes. We really do appreciate everything you do. ❤️
Our Lottie Christian Photography team were there capturing the day from start to finish, taking some amazing photographs for you all to cherish and look back on as a reminder of such a wonderful day. 📸

Competitors — where would we be without you? ❤️
Our pre-entries were fabulous, and the on-the-day entries made those classes even stronger and more amazing. We have already received some absolutely wonderful feedback, and this is where all our ideas and plans for 2027 begin.
To our cafe wonder team, Janet Ellison and Linda — you were absolutely fabulous! Keeping everyone fed, watered and fuelled throughout the day is no small job, and we are so grateful for everything you did. ☕🍰
And lastly, for Johnny Simpson ❤️
Yesterday’s show was planned as a memory of what Johnny would have enjoyed, loved, entertained at and been very much a part of.
The sashes were designed around his tailoring standards and presentation, and the special championships were created to represent the incredible place he held within the equestrian community.
We know Johnny would have absolutely loved yesterday.
We hope that, in some small way, we did him proud. ❤️
And we are incredibly proud to announce that this will now become an annual memorial show for Johnny Simpson.
The planning has already started, with ideas already being thrown around for how we can make next year's event even more special. 🏆
Johnny was such a huge part of our centre, the equestrian community and so many people's lives. What better way to remember and celebrate him than by creating something every year that brings people together, celebrates the sport he loved and keeps his name and memory very much at the heart of what we do.
This is just the beginning. ❤️
Thank you to each and every one of you who played a part — competitors, judges, committee, stewards, Bold Heath staff, photographers, kitchen staff and everyone else working behind the scenes.
It takes a huge amount of planning, hard work, ideas and people pulling together to make a day like yesterday happen, and we genuinely couldn’t do it without every single one of you.
We started with an idea, we made it happen, and the feedback has already given us even more ideas for where we can go next.
The only way is up! 🚀🏆
