This month, our Leadership Trophy was awarded to Grayson.

Grayson is always one of the first people to help a new member settle in, find a partner or understand what they’re doing. He supports the people around him and shows the kind of kindness and encouragement we want within Shadow Karate Squad.

Leadership isn’t always about standing at the front or being the loudest person in the room. Sometimes it’s simply noticing when somebody needs help and choosing to be there for them.

Starting something new can feel a little daunting — for children and parents! 🖤

At your child’s first class at Shadow Karate Squad, there’s no pressure to know anything beforehand. We’ll introduce them to the basics, help them settle in and let them join in at their own pace.

They’ll get to:

🥋 Learn their first karate techniques
👋 Meet their instructors and other students
⭐ Try fun, confidence-building activities
💪 Start learning discipline, focus and coordination

🖤🥋 CONGRATULATIONS, KEIRA! 🥋🖤

Today was a very special day for Shadow Karate Squad as Keira successfully achieved her 1st Dan Black Belt.

This is a milestone that cannot be earned overnight. It represents years of dedication, hard work, perseverance and commitment to karate. Through countless classes, gradings, challenges and achievements, Keira has continued to develop not only as a martial artist but also as a person.

To reach Shodan (1st Dan) is an incredible achievement and one that should be celebrated. It is the result of showing up when training was difficult, pushing through obstacles and never giving up on the journey.

As a club, we could not be prouder of what Keira has accomplished today. Watching students grow from their first lessons to achieving Black Belt is one of the greatest privileges we have as instructors, and today marks a significant moment in Shadow Karate Squad’s history.

Congratulations, Sensei Keira. Your hard work has paid off, and this is only the beginning of the next chapter of your karate journey.

A huge well done to every single student who took part in today’s grading! 🖤

From our Little Lions through to our higher grades, we saw some fantastic performances, determination and confidence on the floor today.

Gradings aren’t just about earning your next belt — they’re about showing how far you’ve come, performing under pressure and demonstrating the hard work you’ve put into your training.

We are incredibly proud of everyone who stepped onto the floor today. Whether you passed, received feedback to work on, or achieved a belt you’ve been working towards for months — be proud of yourselves.

A massive thank you as well to our instructors, families and everyone who continues to support our students and Shadow Karate Squad.
