October has been pretty wet, with over 140mm of rain falling, about half of which has fallen in the last 10 days or so.
Greens have been scarified and sanded and are back in play. We will verti-drain again in the coming weeks and sand them again, after which they will receive a granular feed.
Our bunker renovation in the 1st field has now started, and the rough shaping has been completed. There is still a lot of work to be done on these, with edges to be formed, turf to be laid and bunkers to be lined. This will be an ongoing project over the next few months.
We had to take the opportunity to have them shaped early, as the dates available for having this work done were limited. These areas will be G.U.R. for the next few months.
With the recent storms, we have had a lot of tree damage and have been working through this. There is still a lot of small debris around the course, and clearing this up will be an ongoing process.
Hopefully, we’ll get the place back into shape soon, with a more settled spell of weather forecast over the next week.
