๐ŸŽฏ๐Ÿ† British Pistol Club Juniors shine at the GB Junior International Competition, Bisley ๐Ÿ†๐ŸŽฏ

What an incredible week for our junior athletes at the Junior Competition held at Bisley, Surrey, where they competed in both the 10m Air Pistol and 25m Pistol events against some of the strongest young shooters from across the UK and abroad.

Representing the British Pistol Club were:

๐Ÿ”น Sophie Mackenney
๐Ÿ”น Eloise Bennett
๐Ÿ”น Teddy Phipps
๐Ÿ”น Aemilia Tilley
๐Ÿ”น Sophie Hollyfield
๐Ÿ”น Olivia Mason
๐Ÿ”น Elsie Jessop

The week was filled with achievements and milestones, with our athletes recording an impressive number of personal bests. For several members of the team, this was their first experience of competing at a big event of this calibre, and they embraced the challenge with determination, professionalism, and fantastic team spirit throughout the competition. The youngest member was 11 and the oldest 18.

The standout highlight of the week came on Thursday when Sophie Mackenney qualified for the 10m junior Women's Air Pistol Final in 4th place.
In a highly contested field featuring some of the best young shooters in the country, Sophie delivered an outstanding performance, holding her nerve under pressure to finish in an incredible 5th place. Reaching the final was a remarkable achievement in itself, but to secure a top-five finish on this experienced stage was exceptional, having previously only competed in a Schools' final.

Beyond the results, the week provided invaluable experience for all of our juniors. New friendships were formed, confidence was built, lessons were learned, and memories were made. Most importantly, every athlete represented the British Pistol Club with pride, sportsmanship, and a positive attitude, both on and off the firing line.

A huge thank you also goes to the coaches, parents, and supporters whose encouragement and commitment make opportunities like these possible.

Congratulations to every member of the team. We are enormously proud of what you have achieved this week and look forward to following your progress in the months and years ahead. The future of British Pistol Club shooting is certainly bright! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐ŸŽฏ

Finally, a very special thank you to Sharon Joyce and all of the organisers, volunteers, officials, and staff who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to deliver such a fantastic competition. Events of this calibre simply would not be possible without your dedication, hard work, and commitment to junior shooting. Thank you for creating such a memorable and rewarding experience for every athlete involved.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our August BPC Meeting! ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‘

We really appreciate everyone taking the time to support the club and make the day such a success.

A special thank you to our Committee, who have worked incredibly hard to get this meeting fitted in ahead of the Junior International. Your time, effort and dedication to the club never go unnoticed. ๐Ÿ‘

And, as always, a massive thank you to all our amazing volunteers who give up their time to run the ranges and keep everything moving smoothly โ€” from 10m through to 25m. We simply couldnโ€™t do it without you! ๐Ÿ™Œ

Itโ€™s the commitment of our members, committee and volunteers that makes the BPC such a great club.

Thank you everyone, and good luck to all those representing us at the Junior International! ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐ŸŽฏ
