At MHSOD we strive for excellence teaching RAD & ISTD to students of all ages. Based in Wolverhampton, we have over 50 years experience in teaching dance.

Welcome to MHSOD. We are a team of fully qualified and professional dance teachers that are passionate about providing quality dance education. We offer tuition in Ballet, Modern, Tap, Acrobatics and PBT to students from 2.5 years to adulthood. We teach both the Royal Academy Of Dance And Imperial Society Of Teachers Of Dancing syllabi. ✨ And just like that… it’s half term! ✨

What a wonderfully busy first half of the autumn term we’ve had at MHSOD! 🩰

We’ve had so much to celebrate, including nine of our talented students performing in Swan Lake with English Youth Ballet. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and the dedication they’ve shown!

Back in the studio, it’s been just as busy, with lots of hard work and preparation underway for our upcoming ISTD examinations.

Most importantly, we’ve loved seeing all our students pushing themselves, growing in confidence, embracing new challenges and striving to achieve their very best in every lesson. Whether it’s a small personal milestone or a big achievement, every bit of progress is something to be proud of! 🤍 Have a wonderful restful break and we’ll be back on Monday 2nd November

✨ AMAZING NEWS! ✨

At the end of July, nine of our students auditioned for English Youth Ballet, and we are absolutely thrilled to announce that ALL NINE have been offered a place! 🩰🤍

They’ll be taking to the stage in English Youth Ballet’s production of Swan Lake at the Grand Theatre this October — what a wonderful opportunity and achievement for them all!

A huge congratulations to Maisie, Layla, Anneli, Raffaella, Hope, Isabelle, Scarlett, Hattie & Olivia. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you and cannot wait to see you performing on that beautiful stage. 🌟

Our tickets are booked and we’ll be there cheering you on! 🥹🩰♥️

Lovely little night with our Primary and Grade 1 exam girlies, working so hard in their very first extra exam lesson ♥️🩰

We’re so excited to see their confidence, technique and performance develop over the coming weeks as they work towards their ISTD examinations ✨

We’re incredibly proud to offer high-quality ISTD examination tuition at MHSOD. The ISTD provides a recognised and progressive training pathway, from a dancer’s very first examinations right through to vocational and professional-level training.

These early grades are about so much more than passing an exam — they develop strong technique, musicality, performance, discipline and confidence, building the foundations our pupils can carry with them should they wish to progress into vocational and professional dance training in the future. 🤍

So proud of our little dancers already — what a lovely start! ♥️

We hope you’ve all had the best summer! We’ve missed you so much and are absolutely itching to get back into the studio and dance together again. 🩰

Classes return on Monday 7th September, and we cannot wait to welcome back our wonderful pupils—and to welcome some lovely new starters into our school too! 💗

A brand-new term means fresh goals, exciting challenges and so many opportunities to grow. Here’s to building confidence, learning new skills, achieving wonderful milestones and making special memories together along the way.
