A few people have asked if there’s another option for scanning in and out, particularly for those who don’t like bringing their phone into the gym or sometimes struggle with signal.

So, we’ve got 300 ClubRight key tags on the way which you can simply keep on your keys and use to scan in and out.

They’ll be £1 each, and we’ll post again as soon as they’re available to pick up from reception.

If you’re perfectly happy scanning in and out with your phone, you absolutely don’t need one - it’s simply another option for anyone who’d find a key tag more convenient 👍🏼

If you think you may have left something behind, please speak to a member of the team at reception and we’ll be happy to check for you.

NEW ARRIVAL 👑

Something a little different and another first for Empire.

The Gymleco Hip & Back Extension 🇸🇪

Our first piece from Swedish manufacturer Gymleco, and one we’re looking forward to getting on the floor.

Designed around the posterior chain, the 067 will give you another way to train the glutes, hamstrings and lower back, with a stable plate-loaded movement that can be adjusted to alter the emphasis depending on what you’re looking to target.

This will also be the first of a couple of additions we’re looking at to improve the glute training options currently available on the gym floor - adding a bit more variety where we feel it will make a genuine difference, alongside the wider upgrades happening throughout the gym.

And this one’s coming with a little bit of exclusivity…

The first Gymleco 067s are due to arrive in the UK this December - and we’ve claimed one for Empire, putting us amongst the very first gyms in the country to have one on the floor.

We’re delighted to announce that Sarah has been promoted to Gym Manager at Empire 👑

Sarah’s journey with us has been a brilliant one. She’s been part of the furniture pretty much from day one, starting out as a member using the gym and attending classes, before going on to become a PT at Empire.

She later joined our reception team on a part-time basis, before stepping into a full-time role earlier this year and it didn’t take long for her to show just how valuable she is to the gym and the team.

Her reliability, attention to detail, work ethic and the genuine care she has for both our members and the gym have really stood out. She’s a friendly and trusted face that so many of you already know, and someone people feel comfortable approaching, while also being very good at spotting the things that need doing behind the scenes and the regular weekly work that keeps us running smoothly.

The promotion is thoroughly deserved and we know she’ll continue to make a massive difference to Empire in her new role.

We’re very lucky to have her as part of the team, so please join us in congratulating our new Gym Manager.

2 pairs of CERBERUS STRENGTH drop mats have been added to the dumbbell area so there’s now 3 pairs in the gym to be used. Feel free to use them where needed to help take care of the new dumbbells. Cheers all

Another investment in Empire Gym 👑

After a few months of planning and waiting, the Watson Pro Dumbbells have officially arrived at Empire.

Yesterday was one of the busiest days we’ve had as a team in a long time, and we want to start by thanking everyone involved from start to finish. From unloading, checking and polishing every dumbbell, to moving equipment, assembling the racks, positioning everything ready for members, clearing out the old equipment and the final tidy-up, it was a huge effort. So, a massive thank you to every member of the Empire team who put the hours in to make it happen.

This delivery completes our dumbbell line-up with 60 new pairs of Watson Pro Dumbbells, including three full sets from 2.5 kg through to 50 kg.

Alongside these, we’ve retained 38 existing pairs across our Jordans, hex dumbbells and heavier sets up to 70 kg. Giving us 98 pairs of dumbbells across nine alcoves, creating what we believe is one of the most complete dumbbell line-ups around with more lifting space, less waiting, and a training environment built for serious progress.

We’ve made a significant investment in this equipment for everyone to enjoy, so we’d ask all members to help us look after it. Please return all dumbbells to their correct place after use and use the lifting mats where appropriate. A further two new sets of drop mats are arriving this week, and with everyone’s care and respect, we can keep everything looking and performing at its best for years to come.

Our dumbbells are taking shape with tonight’s nightshift finishing our order ready for despatch tomorrow and gotta say, they are looking pretty beautiful!!! 😍

The Squat Press has entered the chat… 💥

And that completes the trio.

Other than a couple of plate storage horns for the Hack Squat and the centre horn for the Leg Press still to arrive, all three Cybex MK1 machines: the Leg Press, OG Hack and Squat Press, are now on the gym floor and fully operational.

A big thank you to the lads at UKGYMTEK for sourcing/refurb, then helping piece together the logistical nightmare after a few bumps in the road. We got there in the end. 🤜🏼🤛🏼

The Cybex MK1 Hack Squat has now found its home on the gym floor alongside the Leg Press.

The replacement bar, which was made after the original arrived damaged in transit, was delivered today. We’ve now fitted it, fully tested it, and it’s finally ready for use.

With a bit of luck, we should have the final machine of the three arriving this week to complete the trio. 🤞🏼
