⚽🔴⚪ UNDER 11s GIRLS MATCH REPORT ⚪🔴⚽
Yesterday, our Under 11s Girls welcomed Buckley Town for their third game of the season. After having no game last weekend, the girls were full of energy and really up for the challenge! 💪🏻⚽️
With Robin away on holiday 🌴, Bella Sear bravely stepped up to take on the goalkeeper role for the day. A massive well done to Bella for putting herself forward for the team, and we hope Robin is having a fantastic time! ❤️
We found ourselves 2 goals down within the first five minutes, which came as a surprise after the girls had set such a high standard from the first whistle in recent weeks.
However, they didn’t let their heads drop. For the remainder of the first 20 minutes, the girls battled hard, worked together and started to find their way back into the game. 👏
We started the second 20-minute half a little stronger, with the girls continuing to battle and work hard. A fantastic strike from a Buckley Town player ⚽️ made it 3-0 around the half-hour mark.
Bella gave her absolute best in goal, but to give her a breather, we made a change and called upon Aria Owen to step in. Like Bella, Aria isn’t a natural goalkeeper, so another huge well done to both girls for showing courage, stepping up and doing whatever was needed for the team! 👏👏
Buckley Town managed to add another goal just before the end of the second half from a well-worked corner 🚩, making it 4-0.
But these Cefn girls aren’t ones for giving up! 💪🏻❤️
They continued to work hard and battle right until the end. Buckley added another well-worked goal, but the girls kept pushing forward.
And then came a moment to remember! 🔥
Mali Jones got Cefn on the scoresheet with a fantastic strike! ⚽️🔝 The ball flew into the top-right corner — what a goal! 🙌❤️
Buckley managed to grab another goal just before the final whistle with another brilliant finish, bringing the final score to:
🔴 Cefn Mawr Rangers 1–6 Buckley Town 🔵
The result may not have gone our way today, but what matters most is that the girls never gave up. They battled, supported each other and kept smiling throughout. ❤️⚽️
And once again, it’s fantastic to see just how much these girls are enjoying their football! 🥰👏

Mali showed a fantastic work rate throughout the game and never gave up, even when we found ourselves in difficult situations. Her determination and attitude were brilliant to see — and that goal was the perfect reward for her efforts! 🔝⚽️👏

Libby put in a fantastic performance, showing some strong tackling and excellent reading of the game. She took a knock during the match but showed great character, got back on with it and continued to enjoy her football. 👏💪🏻
