We offer ISTD Imperial Ballet & Tap syllabus class as well as Contemporary classes for all ages and abilities.

At NDA we offer a Yoga for Dancers class that supports our students to develop their strength, flexibility and an increased awareness of body movement.
On Friday 21st August NDA are running a Yoga workshop which will predominantly focus on posture and alignment. Places are limited in this session, if you would like to attend please get in touch to secure your place!
Well 2025/26… what an academic year we have had! It’s been our busiest year yet and feel so incredibly grateful to have been able to work with the amazing students & teachers we have at NDA over the last academic year. I have tried to summarise the highlights in just over a minute (which has been extremely difficult!!), looking back we’ve managed to do a lot in 10 months! Although we are on summer break at the moment, I am already planning the events of 2026/27. I hope you all have a wonderful summer break, & very much looking forward to the next academic year… starting with exams in October & then our Christmas performance on Saturday 5th December!!

⭐️ One of our NDA students having an amazing time at Rambert Summer Intensive in London. Siri has been with us at the Academy since she was 3 years old & is successfully making her way through the ISTD syllabus in Imperial Classical Ballet, Tap and Modern. Siri successfully auditioned for the CAT scheme in 2022 where she now also splits her classes between Northern Ballet & Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds ⭐️

⭐️ Over the summer term NDA have had ISTD Imperial Classical Ballet & Tap exams… & our students have achieved some amazing results, all Distinctions and high Merits! We are so incredibly proud of you all and how much you have accomplished. A massive congratulations to you all! At NDA we have a 100% exam pass rate & 99% of our students have achieved either a Merit or Distinction! ⭐️

On Sunday 30 NDA contemporary students performed at Alton Towers! We had an amazing day firstly playing in the theme park, then performing in the chance2dance event. Both myself & Julia were so proud of you all, you absolutely smashed both pieces! Thank you to all those involved for your hard work, it definitely paid off!

⭐️ We are so excited for this Sunday… 30 NDA Contemporary students are performing at Alton Towers! Everyone has been working incredibly hard in rehearsals over the past few months, & can’t wait to see both pieces on stage. ⭐️ A massive good luck to these NDA adult students who are performing today in ‘Dance It Up North’. The NDA Adult Dance Company have been working with Christie to create a new piece over the last few months. Really looking forward to watching you all on stage, you’ll be amazing! ⭐️

Next month some of our NDA dancers are performing for the 2nd year at the chance2dance event at Alton Towers. We have over 30 NDA Contemporary students involved in the performance this year, & rehearsals for both pieces are very much in full swing!
