Quick reminder to any junior players who attend St Michael’s Club, squad 1 and squad 2 to get your summer fun tournament entries in this coming week. Entries close on Friday. The tournament is the following weekend.

Also remember to wash and donate any pre-loved sports kit that you’ve grown out of for our preloved sale!

Last weekend, the Guernsey Vets travelled to Jersey to take on a strong home side made up of both youth and experience. Our squad consisted of 10 men and 6 women, while Jersey fielded 14 men and 2 women, with matches played across two groups.

The day featured some highly competitive and closely contested badminton matches, with great sportsmanship and plenty of quality play on display. After an exciting series of games, Guernsey emerged victorious with a 23-17 win, successfully retaining the Vets Cup.

A fantastic day of vets badminton and a great team effort from everyone involved. Well done to all players who represented Guernsey!

Did you know that every Saturday beginners, juniors and families can come along to St Michael’s club for just £3 for 2 hours?

3pm-5pm at the Rohais Badminton Hall.

Rackets and shuttles are available to borrow so you don’t even need your own equipment 🙌🏻

If you’re dropping off juniors, please come inside to sign them in when the session starts and then come in to sign them out again on collection. Thank you!

A few weeks ago we proudly hosted our 100th Easter Open Badminton Tournament - and what a fantastic milestone it was! 🇬🇬

With over 70 visiting players joining us on the island plus non-playing visitors, the event was a huge success. We saw some incredible matches, a brilliant atmosphere throughout, and of course, a great party to round it all off 🎉

The final entry of 106 individual competitors for this week’s 100th Easter Open is up there with the tournament’s all-time highs and over double that of last year 🏸
