As a specialist in helping those over 50, I hear a lot of worries about balance, falls, and simply feeling less steady on your feet. If you’re noticing your balance isn’t what it used to be, maybe stairs feel harder or you’re unsure when walking - this is exactly the time to take action.

By starting balance and strength exercises early, you can significantly lower the risk of falls down the line. I’ve had many clients ask me, ‘What if I fall?’ or ‘How do I get up?’ But the best solution is to prevent that situation in the first place.

Our new 50+ Gentle Exercise Class is perfect for anyone who wants to improve their health in a friendly and supportive environment. No previous exercise experience is needed, so don't worry if you haven't been active for a while.

Class Details📅 Starting Tuesday 16th June⏰ 9:45am – 10:30am📍 Styx Centre

Classes are led by Ross Philippe, last 45 minutes, and run once per week.

Cost: £56 for a 4-week block.

As we get older, balance is key. Practice standing on one leg or gentle heel-to-toe walking. Add balance drills a few times a week to help prevent falls and keep you steady!

Hey everyone!
Just a quick reminder that our new gentle exercise class kicks off this Tuesday, June 16th, at the Styx Centre at 9:45a.m. There’s extra parking available in the gravel car park next to the Styx Centre just off the main road next to the Longfrie Inn. I’m really looking forward to seeing you all! Just wear comfy clothes and bring a little bottle of water.
We do have one spot open if anyone wants to jump in last minute just message me. And if you have any other questions, just ask😄

Did you know that balance is like a muscle - it can be trained at any age?

One tip:
Practice sitting down and standing up from a chair without using your hands. This simple move strengthens legs and reinforces balance. Over time, it’ll make everyday movements safer and easier!

Hi everyone!
Most of you know I’m a personal trainer, but many may not realise that I now specialise in helping people over 50 improve their strength, balance, mobility, and overall confidence.

As we get older, we naturally lose some strength, balance, and mobility. We’re often told that’s just part of ageing and that we simply have to accept it and live with it. The good news is that isn’t necessarily the case. With the right exercises and a consistent approach, we can improve all of these areas and continue to move well, stay independent, and enjoy life.

I help people with everyday activities that make a real difference, getting in and out of chairs more easily, walking with confidence, improving balance, reducing the risk of falls, and staying active and capable.

I’ve seen many clients make great progress, and one of the most rewarding parts of my job is hearing them tell me how much better they feel and how much easier everyday life has become.

So if you’re feeling like you’re slowing down or that things aren’t quite as easy as they used to be, it’s definitely not a lost cause. There are things you can do, and I’d be happy to point you in the right direction.
