“Third place in the 50/50 and an absolutely phenomenal weekend.” That was Matthew Gay’s verdict after dancing through a 50 mile white‑out where you could barely see a few feet ahead and the rain was whipping sideways all night. Day two’s 50km hurt a whole lot more, but he still called it an amazing weekend all round – powered from start to finish by Umara and a seriously stubborn engine. Huge congratulations, Matthew, on storming to 3rd in one of the toughest combos out there.
「50/50 第三名，成個週末真係勁正。」Matthew Gay 喺終點就係咁形容自己嘅 9 Dragons——喺 50 mile 裡面，成晚被大霧同暴雨狂洗，前面幾呎都睇唔清，但佢一路都頂住跑。 第二日 50 公里更加攞命，可能冇前一晚咁好玩，不過成個週末對佢嚟講依然係一個超級精彩嘅體驗，靠 Umara 全程供電再加自己堅離地嘅鬥志先衝到終點。 恭喜 Matthew 喺其中一個最硬核組合入面殺入季軍寶座。

That medal selfie hits different when you’ve just danced with dragons all night. Every scratch, blister and muddy step led to this one small piece of metal and a very big feeling. Wear it, flash it, spam your camera roll with it – you earned every pixel.
跑完整晚同九條龍跳完一支舞之後，呢張獎牌 selfie 真係特別有味道。每一條擦痕、每個水泡、每一步爛泥，最後都變成呢一塊細細嘅獎牌同一個超大嘅滿足感。 記得戴住佢、影多幾張相、瘋狂洗版，因為呢面牌你哋每一鋪都係搏返嚟。

Mud, rain, greasy steps and zero excuses – you still showed up and got it done. Every filthy pair of socks and trashed shoes tells the story of how hard you worked out there on the 9 Dragons trails this year. Thanks for grinding through every slick climb and sketchy descent to keep the dragon spirit alive.
落雨、爛泥、黐立立樓梯，一樣無人縮沙，全部照硬上。 每一對污糟襪同爆晒漿嘅跑鞋，都係你哋今年喺 9 Dragons 山徑上死頂到底嘅證明。 多謝大家頂住每一級濕滑上斜同落斜，將條龍嘅精神跑到淋漓盡致。
“Nine Dragons. Finally, I did it.” After hearing about this race for more than 10 years, being told it was the hardest one in Hong Kong, he still showed up, fresh off a Hong Kong 100 Grand Slam in January, to see what the dragons were really about. Day one was a grind with the wrong shoes, rain and serious sleepiness, but after switching into Speedgoat 6s he smashed day two in under nine and a half hours and finished calling it “so much better than 100… one of the best.” That’s the kind of convert we love – come for the reputation, leave telling your friends they need to experience Nina for themselves.
「Nine Dragons，終於俾我完成咗。」聽朋友講咗成十年話呢場係香港最硬淨嘅比賽，佢今年一月先啱啱做完 Hong Kong 100 Grand Slam，都一樣要上嚟試下九條龍係咩料。 第一日著錯鞋、落雨又眼瞓，跑得好辛苦；第二日換咗對 Speedgoat 6，即刻跑出唔同表現，用唔夠九個半鐘收工，仲話呢場「好過百K好多，係最好之一」。 呢啲就係我哋最鍾意嘅故事——為咗傳說而嚟，最後走嗰陣叫晒朋友都要嚟 Nina 試一次。
