Then it was time to race with top sailors from all over the World including 3 of the top 5 at 2025 World Championship

Margaux finished 7th overall and 1st girl 🥇🔥
Alix finished 17th overall, 2nd U13, and even took the win in one Gold Fleet race 💥🏆

From flying over the waves to flat-out on the kart track… same mindset, same adrenaline. Fast on the water, fast on the asphalt 🏁🌊

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our sailors at the 2025 Sailor of the Year HKODA Awards after 27 races across 4 regattas:
• Margaux Nguyen‑Minh – Overall Sailor of the Year and 1st Girl
• Alix Nguyen‑Minh – 2nd Overall and 1st U12 Girl
• Meghan Cohen-Addad – Encouragement Award for the Most Improved Sailor

A big well done to these talented young athletes and to the entire ARA team for their dedication and hard work.

🌊⛵ Southside Regatta Success!

6 races in Stanley Bay, shifty winds of 5–12 knots. Congratulations to the whole team, with a particular mention for our ARA younger sailors who shone bright:

* 🏆 Alix Nguyen-Minh (11 year old!) — overall regatta champion in addition to first girl and first 12 & Under! Impressive win against top international competition!
* 🌟 Meghan Cohen-Addad — 11th in main fleet, 5th in 12 & Under.
* ⚓ Kyle Chan & Alexandra Lau — 3rd & 4th in intermediate fleet.

A huge testament to their dedication, passion, and hard work. 👏

Congratulations to Margaux Nguyen-Minh finishing 2nd 🥈 girl (14th overall) at the Regatta of Champions (the Roc) in Cyprus, a regatta gathering the top 45 optimist sailors worldwide, selected from results of top regattas (Worlds, Euros, Asians, Kosmos etc).

25 races were held over 5 days in various wind conditions and Margaux had some stellar results including two 1st 🥇, a 2nd 🥈 , a 3rd🥉, a 4th, a 5th, a 6th, a 7th, an 8th and a 10th in an extremely competitive fleet!
