Recently Iโve been trying to bring more dance back into my life โค๏ธ
I keep thinking about the very last class in my final year of ballet school, (around 30yrs ago!) when Miss Mitchell said to us: โnever stop dancing.โโฆand what did I go and do!? ๐
Even though I taught dance for many years - it's not the same as dancing for yourself. Life got busy and priorities shifted - itโs funny how something you love so much can quietly slip away
So Iโm changing that. Iโm letting dance back inโwithout perfection - just moving because it feels good again.
Whether thatโs playing around on the TRX at our local sauna, heading to ecstatic dance nights with live music, or just putting on a song and moving around the kitchen like no oneโs watching.

In this video weโre breaking down pelvic mobility step by step:
1๏ธโฃ Side-to-side pelvic tilts
2๏ธโฃ Forward & back pelvic tilts
3๏ธโฃ Then blending all four positions together
4๏ธโฃ Transitioning smoothly into a full circular pelvic clock
When you connect those four points and move around them, you create a gentle circular massage through the lower back from the pressure of the floor.
This helps to:
โข Restore awareness of pelvic positioning
โข Improve lumbar mobility
โข Build deep core control
โข Reduce gripping in the low back to facilitate relaxation of this area

My son is getting SO good at controlled handstands lately and honestlyโฆ it inspired me to get back to working on mine. Watching him go for it made me want to rise to the challenge too.
Right now Iโm using a traditional Thai stool to roll under my feet while I work on pike. It helps me focus on lifting through my hips, engaging my core, and stacking my shoulders - slow, controlled movements.

What a beautiful group of women we had with us in Chiang Mai ๐คโจ
Even though this was my 14th retreat, every single one feels completely different. The magic always depends on who joins โ and this group brought such warmth, openness, laughter and depth. Every woman adds something uniquely special, and together it creates an experience none of us could have predicted.
We tuned into body and mind through mindful movement and Pilates (including Pilates in the pool ๐ฆ), and a definite favourite was my brand new Glow & Flow classโฆ the details are staying under wraps for now โ youโll have to come and experience that for yourself.
We softened into sound meditation, reset with breathwork, and embraced contrast therapy with Thai herbal steam and ice baths โ๏ธ๐ฅ
We were nourished by delicious, fresh food โ many ingredients grown right at the resort.
We melted into Thai massages, lymphatic drainage, and facial, neck & shoulder massage beneath the rain tree ๐ฟ
And we had a wonderful session led by Tammy, sharing practical, sustainable tips for creating truly healthy lifestyle changes that last.

I recently wrote a little self introduction on the British Mums in Hong Kong FB group - a super friendly supportive group - the kind where you can ask any random question and there will be someone on there that knows the answer and/or willing to help.
