Many players between the ages of 13–17 feel stuck in their progress.
They train extremely hard, push themselves 100% in training.

But when they still don’t get the results they want, they start doubting themselves, doubting the training methods, and ended up switching badminton clubs.

The real problem often starts much earlier — between the ages of 8–12.
If the basic skills are not built properly during that stage, it becomes very difficult later on. Things like racket grip, swing technique, footwork, movement, and body balance are the true foundation of badminton.

As the game becomes faster and more intense at the 13–17 age period, players without strong basics struggle to control their shots and make too many unforced errors. Slowly, confidence starts to drop.

That’s why basic skills and technique are so important.

Players must trust the coach and stay loyal to the process. Coaching is always a two-way relationship. Coaches will always give their best to players who are committed, disciplined, and willing to improve.

At the same time, players must show commitment on court and off court.

Never stay too comfortable in training.
The moment you feel satisfied, your opponents are already working harder to overtake you.

Congratulations to our Shuttle Flash BA player, Nathaniel Nelson, for winning Bronze in both Singles and Doubles (U14) at the Junior Elite Tour 2nd Leg (Group A). 🥉

This result is still far from satisfying.
There were a few strong wins on the way to the semi-finals, but he lost focus after leading in the second set against a talented junior from Pahang.

A big thank you to our coaching team and seniors who guided and supported him in achieving this breakthrough, especially after an early exit in the first leg.

Learn from the mistakes and come back stronger. 💪

All the best to the rest of the SFBA players competing in MSSD tomorrow. Keep fighting! 🔥🏸

Seeing you standing on the stage receiving your award today truly made us happy for you and your parents.

For the past ten months, you and your family have been travelling from Segamat to KL every weekends or any School Holidays for badminton training with us. It has been tiring, difficult, and exhausting, but you never gave up and always kept going.

Today, you stood on 🥇First place stage not because of us, but because of your own determination and desire to achieve your goals. We are really happy and proud to see how far you have come.

Keep working hard and continue chasing your dreams.

Single 12 Champion (Segamat)

Congratulations to our player, Keith Tan from Johor, for winning the Gold Medal in the MSSD Segamat Under-12 category! 🥇

When he first joined us, our coaches faced a big challenge as nearly 80% of his strokes and technical skills needed correction.

Through weeks and months of patience, dedication, and detailed guidance from our coaching team — together with Keith’s strong commitment ,he gradually improved step by step. The coaches worked tirelessly to rebuild his fundamentals, adjust his techniques, and instill better habits.

Today, his strokes are much more refined, and this gold medal is a result of the hard work from both Keith and our coaches. We are proud of your progress, Keith. This achievement truly reflects the importance of trusting the process and the value of proper coaching.

It’s not the medal that matters most ,
it’s the progress he has made over the last six months. Keep it up! 💪

Congratulations to our players for their achievements over the past few weeks! 👏🏸

Chiam Zi Yi emerged as Champion in the WYSE Active Age Group Series – Men’s Singles category, and also secured a Silver medal in the Boys’ Singles Under-19 category.
Voon Ern Yee finished as 1st Runner-Up in the Women’s Doubles category at the Karihome Badminton Charity Tournament 2026.

Winning or losing in one tournament doesn’t define everything — there are many factors that determine the final outcome.

To those who won, stay humble and keep working hard. Don’t be too satisfied or cocky. 💪
To those who didn’t get the results you wanted, take it as a learning opportunity — identify the problem, fix it, and come back stronger. 🔥

Sometimes, it’s the one who never gives up and keeps believing in themselves that stands last.

Proud of everyone’s effort and progress. The journey continues!

Progress doesn’t come from talent alone.
It comes from correcting mistakes and not repeating them.

Coach Vincent was disappointed today — not because of losing, but because the same mistakes keep happening again and again.

Discipline. Focus. Accountability.
That’s how champions are built.
