Our Intermediate team finished top of their group and secured a semi-final place despite a two-point defeat to Ogonnelloe in their final group game in Clooney on Sunday.

Ogonnelloe got the perfect start with a goal in the second minute, but Sean and Peter Ronan responded with scores for Kilmaley, while Cian Neylon converted from frees.

A goal from Dylan Keane Hayes in the 21st minute brought the sides level at 1-5 apiece, while further scores from James Murphy, Kevin McNamara and Cian saw Kilmaley lead 1-8 to 1-7 at half-time.

James Murphy struck for Kilmaley early in the second half, finishing to the corner after reacting quickest to a loose ball on edge of the square to put his side five points clear.

Ogonnelloe responded with a goal after 45 minutes to turn the game around and move into the lead. They then added a third goal shortly afterwards to open up a four-point lead.

Kilmaley remained in contention with further scores from James Murphy, Cian Neylon, Sean Ronan and Pádraig Healy, but Ogonnelloe held on for a two-point win.

Despite the result, Kilmaley finish top of the group and advance to the Intermediate Championship semi-final.

Our Junior D team maintained their 100% record in the Championship after picking up their 3rd win against Kilkee/Bealaha in Ballyea on Saturday evening.

A goal from Padraig Talty inside the opening minute set the tone, as Kilmaley quickly took control. Further goals from Paudie, Dylan Killeen and Jamie Healy helped the lads build a commanding 4-12 to 1-4 lead by half-time.

Kilkee/Bealaha fought their way back into the game after the restart and reduced the deficit with a number of scores. Kilmaley responded well however, with Jamie Healy, James Carmody and John Clohessy adding to the scoreboard before Kilkee/Bealaha struck back with a couple of late goals.

The lads kept their composure in the closing stages to secure a 4-16 to 4-10 win and book their place in the semi-finals.
