🎉🥋 Naas W.T.A. Celebrates 10 Years! 🥋🎉

What a wonderful evening celebrating 10 years of Naas World Taekwondo Association Ireland, surrounded by our amazing students, families, friends, supporters and special guests!

Ten years ago, Master Shane Smyth and his wife Elaine Casserly Smyth founded our club, and it has grown from strength to strength ever since. Last night was a celebration of not only our achievements, but the friendships, dedication and community spirit that make Naas W.T.A. so special. ❤️

We were honoured to welcome W.T.A Grand Master Sheamus O'Neill and also Grand Master Korea Shin who is visiting from South Korea, Minister James Lawless TD, Senator Aubrey McCarthy and the Mayor of County Kildare, Councillor Tim Durkan. Thank you all for being part of our special night.

Our students proudly showcased their skills, followed by an outstanding demonstration from our Naas Demo Team. We then enjoyed wonderful speeches, delicious food, great music and fantastic company!

A heartfelt thank you to every student, past and present, our families, friends and supporters. You are the heart of our club, and we couldn't have reached this milestone without you!

Here's to the next chapter and many more years of Taekwondo, friendship and success together! 🥋❤️

감사합니다 | Go raibh maith agat | Thank you!

🥋Naas World Taekwondo Association – Open Ireland Taekwondo 2026 🥇
Congratulations and well done to all the students of Naas World Taekwondo Association Ireland who participated in the Open Ireland Taekwondo 2026, held last Saturday in Nenagh, County Tipperary.

Our students performed exceptionally well throughout the competition, demonstrating their skill, discipline, determination and sportsmanship in both Poomsae and Sparring. Competing against talented teams from France, Scotland, England, Ukraine, China and across Ireland, our students represented Naas W.T.A. with great pride.
The numerous medals achieved are a testament to the months of dedication, commitment and hard work put in by our students, supported by their instructors, families and fellow club members. Every student who stepped onto the competition floor should be proud of their achievements and the progress they have made.

🌟 A special milestone for our new W.T.A. Demo Team
The event also marked an exciting first for our newly established Naas World Taekwondo Association Demo Team, who took to the floor for their first public demonstration. The team delivered an impressive display of Taekwondo skills to a large audience, showcasing the athleticism, precision, teamwork and spirit of our martial art. This was a fantastic achievement and an exciting beginning for the team.

👏 Thank you to everyone who made the event possible
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the families and friends who travelled to Nenagh to support our students. Your encouragement and support make a tremendous difference and are an important part of our club community.
A special word of appreciation goes to Grand Master Sheamus O Neill for hosting this excellent event, and to the entire W.T.A. family for the tremendous effort, organisation and teamwork that went into making the weekend such a success every year.

Thank you to Counsellor Mr. Sung-Min Ko and the Korean Embassy in Ireland.

Finally, we would like to thank Grand Master Korea Shin for attending the event and for his continued support of our association and its students.
Events like these highlight the strength of the World Taekwondo Association community, bringing students together to learn, compete, grow and celebrate their shared passion for Taekwondo.
Well done to all our students, medal winners and Demo Team members. You have done Naas W.T.A. proud! 🇮🇪🥋🏆
