Our next match ball sponsor is one of our own — Sabrina Barnett / Beanie ❤️🖤

Beanie is no stranger to Raphoe Ladies Hockey Club, and today marks the start of her 32nd season! 🤩 As if that wasn’t enough, she has also taken on the role of 2XI captain for the 2026/2027 season.

One of our most experienced players, Beanie brings plenty of skill, knowledge and energy to the pitch week in, week out. She has also earned numerous caps representing Ulster and Ireland at Masters tournaments.

Last season, Beanie took on a new challenge by giving indoor hockey a go — and ended up representing Ireland at the Masters Indoor World Cup in Nottingham! ☘️🏑

Off the pitch, Beanie is just as involved, working hard behind the scenes with the committee, getting jobs done, bringing new ideas to the table and helping keep the club moving forward. She’s always got plenty of advice to offer and isn’t afraid to speak up for what’s best for the club!

As we head into the new season, we want to remind everyone involved in Raphoe Hockey Club to show respect to our umpires, teammates, opposition, coaches and supporters.

We all want to enjoy our hockey, and while we won’t always agree with every decision, respect should always come first.

And a big thank you to everyone who gives up their time to umpire for us — we really appreciate your time and commitment to the game🏑
