🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ RACE DAY INFORMATION – THIS SATURDAY! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to Rhode for race day! Here are the key details you need to know 👇

📍 Race HQ: Rhode Parish Hall (R35 WY26)
📍 Number Collection: Rhode National School (R35 KD66)

🏅 MARATHON / ¾ MARATHON / HALF MARATHON
🎟️ Number collection: 7:00–8:00am
🏁 Start: 8:30am
📢 Race briefing: 8:10am
Marathon: 4 loops – 42.3km
¾ Marathon: 3 loops
Half Marathon: 2 loops

➡️ 1st loop: Run on the LEFT side of the road.
➡️ Remaining loops: Run on the RIGHT side of the road.

⚠️ Roads remain open, so please follow the instructions of marshals, signage and safety cones at all times. Take extra care on the R402 and around the bends near Eire Log Cabins.

💧 Water stations: Approximately every 5km at:
• End of Rathcobican Road
• Ballybrittan Bridge
• Top of Rathcobican Road
🥤 Coca-Cola will be available at the main Rathcobican fuel station

🏃🏼Marathon runners can leave personal gels/energy drinks at the Rathcobican fuel station

🗑️ LEAVE NO TRACE: Please use the designated bottle/cup drop points

🟢🟡Marathon & ¾ Marathon runners will receive a goodie bag

🏃 10K
🎟️ Number collection: 8:45–10:00am
📢 Race briefing: 10:20am
🏁 Start: 10:30am
🚶 The 10K start is approximately a 1km walk from Race HQ. Participants will be guided to the start at 10:05am.
💧 Water stations at End of Rathcobican Road & Ballybrittan Bridge

🚗 PARKING
Parking is available between Rhode National School and Rhode Village and will be signposted.
⚠️ Please DO NOT park along Rathcobican Road. Parking is limited, so please carpool or get dropped off where possible

🚻 Toilets are available at Race HQ, Rhode National School and along the course.
☕ Tea, coffee & refreshments will be available after the race and, of course, plenty of our famous home baking! 🍰

🚑 First Aid: Provided by Code Blue. If you feel unwell, please alert a marshal or fellow runner immediately

🙏 SAFETY FIRST! Please read the information carefully, listen to the race briefing and follow all instructions from our marshals

💚 Meet Charles Malone 💛

First Time Marathoner! 🏃‍♂️

Charles is taking on his first ever full marathon at the Rhode AC Marathon on Saturday 19 September, running in loving memory of his mum, Mary B., while raising funds for the Offaly Hospice Foundation.

With every mile and every step, Charles is helping support the incredible palliative care services that mean so much to local families. ❤️

We’re delighted to share Charles’ story and wish him the very best of luck on his marathon journey! 👏
