Most riders think track school is only for the racetrack.

The truth? The skills you learn on track can make a huge difference on the road.

Emergency braking, hazard awareness, corner vision, bike control, body positioning, and staying calm under pressure are skills that can help you react faster when unexpected situations arise.

A track school isn't about riding faster.
It's about becoming a safer, smarter, and more confident rider every time you swing a leg over your motorcycle.

Train in a controlled environment. Ride better everywhere.

PRN Thursday Q&A 💬 | Week 3

This week’s questions go deeper into riding technique — the kind of details that separate smooth riders from fast riders.

🏍️ Q1: Even with a similar acceleration marker, what makes pros exit faster out of corners?

A lot of riders think corner exit speed only depends on when you open the throttle.

But the real difference starts much earlier.

Professional riders carry better corner speed into the turn, choose cleaner racing lines, manage body position efficiently, maintain better RPM through the corner, and keep the bike more stable throughout the turn.

So when they reach the acceleration point, they’re already carrying more momentum and the bike is positioned better for exit.

That allows them to:
• Pick up the throttle earlier
• Keep the engine in a stronger powerband
• Stand the bike up faster
• Use more tyre grip efficiently
• Carry higher exit speed naturally

Two riders can visually accelerate at almost the same point, but the rider who carried more speed smoothly through the corner and maintained better drive will always exit faster.

Fast exits are usually built from smooth entries — not aggressive throttle.

🏁 Q2: How does the front not lock up while trail braking into a corner?

Because trail braking is not about holding maximum brake pressure while leaning.

As riders enter the corner, braking force is gradually and smoothly reduced while lean angle increases.

This is important because tyres have limited grip.

If all the grip is used for braking, the tyre can’t handle cornering forces properly. But when brake pressure is released progressively, the tyre can safely share grip between braking and turning.

That’s what keeps the front stable.

Good trail braking helps riders:
• Maintain front-end feel
• Keep weight on the front tyre
• Improve corner entry control
• Adjust speed smoothly into the turn

The mistake most beginners make is braking too abruptly or releasing the brake suddenly, which unsettles the bike.

Smooth inputs are what make trail braking work safely and effectively.

Some riders wait for the “right time.”
Others prepare before the opportunity even arrives.

Every fast rider you look up to started by fixing the basics — braking deeper, carrying corner speed, body position, throttle control, race lines, consistency. That’s what separates random track riding from real progression.

Our Personalized Training at GP1 Performance Zone is built to focus on *your* riding style, *your* weaknesses, and *your* next level. Whether you ride for passion, performance, or bigger goals ahead… preparation starts now.

Because when the next opportunity shows up, talent alone won’t save you. Preparation will. ⚡️🏁
