This trail which runs beside farms and lakes, is awash with post-rain greens, the gentle sounds of village life, and nothing much else demanding your attention.
It'd be a fun morning outdoors for someone who has not done much riding outside the city, and a decent shakeout ride if you have.

This region south of Bangalore has a quietness to it that'll take you by surprise.
The ride loops around the Arkavathi river and reservoir, with the road narrowing into tree-lined paths and opening suddenly onto reservoir views. For long stretches the loudest things are the chirping of birds, the crunching of rubber on gravel, and the sound of your own breath.
40 km (L2) or 70 km (L3), mixed terrain, 24 May 2026. Optional stay available at

We're sitting down with Scolarian Bikes for a conversation around custom adventure bikes. We'll be discussing our respective journeys that led us to down this road, and what many riders have to say about their experiences on these bikes.
We'll dig into frame material, geometry, the component choices, the way a frame is designed for loaded touring versus fast gravel, and how these decisions shape how a bike actually feels.
At The Bangalore Room this Sunday, the people who build these beautiful machines will be in the same space as the people who ride them.
You'll also get to see some of these bikes at the venue. So come on over and let's geek out on them together! ๐ฒ๐ค
