BDR had the privilege of showcasing Karnataka at the National conference on water treatment organised by BWSSB at the Bangalore Golf club on 6th Nov'25. The high praise and accolades showered by senior officials and delegates from across the country was heart warming.
I was held up elsewhere and arrived just in time for the show, thanks to my dear father - Sreenivas Kappanna for handling all issues and tech support with panache. My dearest sister Vasanti for immediately agreeing to help me out. Thanks to Gunduraj sir (leather puppetry) and Sastan sir (Yakshagana), they have been with me since 2002 (23 years and counting). Ofcourse nothing is possible without the fabulous dancers of Bhramari. Thank you my dearest girls 😘 😘 😘!

Students of 'Bhramari Dance Repertoire' performed for a small group of foreign delegates at The Leela Palace on 4th Nov'25. Our young dancers did us proud in showcasing our cultural legacy to the world. Congratulations to Mrudula, Shreekruti and Pravalika.

On 29th October 2025, BDR had the honour of performing for a conference of international heads of BOSCH at the Pennar hall, Shangri-La Hotel . The elite 50 members audience gave a standing ovation for the performance. We had weaved the folk culture from the four Indian states that hosts BOSCH in India along with their logo - The Charaka into our performance. We thank our very own Sowmya Holla for the connect & coordination, and Bosch for playing such wonderfull hosts.

This event happened about two months ago on August 24th at a quintessential space in bustling Indiranagar. We had missed logging in this event on our social media platforms, hence the late post. We have obtained our share of standing ovation for our performances over the years. But to spontaneously recieve one for a lecture was quiet overwhelming. It is always an honour to share thoughts on folk dance legacy but when its welcomed so beautifully - with lot of intrigue, curiousity and exclamation, it makes it worth the effort. 'Nrutya beru' books sold like hot cakes, completely sold out in minutes. Thanks to dearest Roopa pai for being such a fabulous host. We loved every minute in your space.

Small joys ..No actually it's a big joy. When I am travelling students meet up on their own to practice. This is what one can hope for as a teacher.

Indian Music Experience is an unique museum one-of-its-kind and best in our country. Bengaluru's pride indeed. It was our honour to speak on folk dance legacy at this space. Thanks to dear Manasi Prasad for the connect. Thanks to Preema, Sahana and Sarvar our hosting us. We had a lovely time here last weekend at our book conversations and lec dem on my work 'Nrutya beru'. It was also a matter of pride to have my parents (for the first time listening to my talk) especially my father who has been a true crusader for folk arts.

Yesterday's book conversations on 'Nrutya beru' and lecture demonstration at Courtyard Koota on folk dances. The aesthetic space and people had such a lovely energy. Bhramari Dance Repertoire had the privilege of performing for the inaugural ceremony of WONCA SAR -2025 on April 5th at The Grand Sheraton hotel, Bengaluru. The south asian family physician international doctor's conference had delegates from over 16 countries. They witnessed 'BHARAT PARIYATAN' an odyssey of Indian classical dances from across the country.
