The Board Game Lounge

r. After building up a collection over a few years, we started Chennai Board Gamers along with a few other like-minded people in 2015. This was the city’s first organised gaming meetup and we’ve held our events nearly every month since then. Over the years, board gaming has grown in popularity across India. Many cities now boast thriving gamer communities, and Chennai’s no exception. That’s why it seemed like the obvious next step to take the considerable collection of games we’ve built up over the years, as well as our experience with teaching said games, and bring them together to create Chennai’s first space that’s dedicated to tabletop gaming. So what can you expect at the Lounge? For starters, we’ve got more than 250 games on offer, with a huge variety of themes and genres to choose from. That’s not all, though - we’ll help you pick out a game that you and your friends will enjoy, and then we’ll teach it to you so you can get playing more quickly. If you’re an old hand at tabletop gaming, you’ll appreciate not having to wrestle with long and complex rulebooks; and, if you’re new, we’ll do our best to ensure that you have a great introduction to this world that we love. With any hobby, introductions and first impressions are crucial; and, as board gaming is such a social activity, they’re even more important here. It’s a great way to bond with friends and family, spend time with folks, or make new friends - it’s just quality offline interaction centered around a fun experience.
