🇮🇹 Portare a termine con successo un corso pSCR L2 è sempre una soddisfazione, ma ci sono allievi che hanno qualcosa in più, che ci mettono un impegno particolare, aggiuntivo. Complimenti ad Alberto Libertini per il traguardo raggiunto, ma sopratutto grazie per avermi insegnato come chi in possesso di uno sconfinato bagaglio subacqueo come il suo, possa accettare con garbo di imparare. 🇬🇧 Completing a pSCR L2 course is always a source of satisfaction, but there are some students who go the extra mile, putting in that extra bit of effort. Congratulations to Alberto Libertini on this achievement, but above all, thank you for showing me how someone with such a wealth of diving experience as yours can remain open to learning. Touzil System v. 2.5 is out.

For those who don't know it: Touzil System is a free web-based tool designed for pSCR rebreather divers. It calculates Oxygen Drop and the consequent growth of inert gases at depth, mix density with reference to the Anthony/Mitchell limits, scrubber life based on diver consumption and absorbent brand and quantity, and — for cave and overhead environment diving — the rule of thirds to manage gas reserves when switching to open circuit. It runs on any device, browser-based, no installation required.

Version 2.5 adds a dedicated section for bottom gases containing Helium: enter your maximum operating depth and planned bottom time, and the system returns the recommended number of deco gases and the control average to verify at 6 metres before the final ascent.

The calculation is based on the effective Helium fraction actually breathed at depth — not the nominal mix fraction. On a pSCR, those two numbers are not the same.

Following intensive training in the beautiful yet challenging waters of Lake Garda, Roberto demonstrated the necessary mastery of his rebreather and the competence required for this standard. Seeing students reach goals like this is the greatest satisfaction for an instructor. The pSCR L2 is a well-deserved milestone that opens the door to continuing down the path of technical diving. Now, the real journey begins!

🇮🇹 Con la versione 2.3 del Touzil System è possibile calcolare, data l'Efficienza Effettiva personale e la quantità di gas disponibile, i bar o i litri da consumarsi con il pSCR per poter tornare al punto di partenza in due in circuito aperto (regola dei terzi)

🇮🇹Il Touzil System, il software per determinare la miscela respirata nei pSCR, si arricchisce della stima della durata del filtro. è possibile selezionare tra diversi produttori e tipi di assorbente; le caratteristiche dello stesso, insieme alla quantità usata, il peso del subacqueo, il consumo di gas e la tipologia dell'immersione sono alla base della stima.
La vita del filtro è solo un'indicazione potendo variare notevolmente in base alle condizioni.

It is possible to select from different manufacturers and types of absorbent; the characteristics of the absorbent, together with the quantity used, the diver's weight, gas consumption and the type of dive form the basis of the estimation.
Scrubber life is only an indication as it can vary greatly depending on conditions.
