World Sport for All (FISpT) and the Union Européenne du Sport pour Tous (UESpT) are pleased to announce the launch of the EWOS Seminar Series, a programme of free online meetings organised within the framework of the European Week of Sport and the European Commission’s campaign.

The series will bring together representatives of international sport federations and organisations to highlight the contribution of sport to more inclusive, healthier and more active societies. Through a series of expert presentations, participants will showcase initiatives, programmes and good practices designed to make sport accessible to all people, regardless of age, gender, ability, background or level of experience.

All EWOS seminars are free of charge and open to everyone. People interested in Sport for All, physical activity, inclusion, health, sports development and international federation initiatives are invited to take part.

Europe is becoming more active — but Sport for All still has a long way to go.

The European Commission’s new Special Eurobarometer 574 on Sport and Physical Activity provides an important snapshot of physical activity across Europe. While 47% of Europeans exercise or play sport at least several times a week, 39% still say they never do so.

For UESpT, the findings underline that Sport for All must go beyond organised sport. Our work must embrace active mobility, accessible public spaces, social inclusion, gender equality, sustainability, volunteering and stronger local communities.

Physical activity is not only about performance. 93% of Europeans recognise its contribution to mental health, 86% to community building and 85% to the wellbeing of marginalised groups.

These findings reinforce our mission: to make sport and physical activity accessible, inclusive and meaningful for everyone across Europe.

🏃‍♀️ Sport For All – EWOS Seminars are starting!

UESpT and FISpT are pleased to launch an international online seminar series within the framework of the European Week of Sport – , driven by a shared vision of making sport more accessible, inclusive and sustainable for everyone.

Starting on 28 September 2026, the Sport For All – EWOS Seminars will extend the spirit of the European Week of Sport beyond a single week, bringing together sport organisations, international federations and stakeholders throughout September and October.

Seminar dates:

• 28 September 2026 | 15:00–17:00
• 9 October 2026 | 15:00–17:00
• 13 October 2026 | 15:00–17:00
• 21 October 2026 | 15:00–17:00

Each session will bring together different federations, sport organisations and stakeholders to share their activities, experiences and good practices while exploring Sport for All from different perspectives.

Through this series, we aim to strengthen international knowledge exchange, create new opportunities for cooperation and contribute to a more active and inclusive sporting culture across Europe.

What begins with the European Week of Sport will continue as a sustainable international platform dedicated to strengthening the Sport for All movement.

Brand new logo and name for the World Sport For All !

The new brand, World Sport for All, reflects the Federation’s international vocation while remaining firmly anchored in its core mission: promoting sport for everyone, everywhere, without barriers.

The new logo has been designed around a powerful and symbolic visual concept. It depicts five interwoven human figures, representing the five continents and the spirit of cooperation that unites the global sport for all movement. Together, these figures form a circle, evoking unity, continuity, and collective strength. The circular shape also recalls the Olympic circle, underscoring the Federation’s historic and enduring connection with the Olympic movement and the IOC.

The logo’s five colors mirror the colors of the Olympic rings, further strengthening this symbolic link and expressing a shared commitment to universality, harmony, and mutual respect. At the same time, the graphic composition suggests the image of a globe, emphasizing that the Federation’s vision is truly worldwide and built on a common effort to bring people together through sport.

A central feature of the new design is its clear commitment to inclusion. The five figures are intentionally non-gendered and diverse in appearance, reflecting a federation that does not distinguish between men and women, cultures, abilities, or backgrounds. This is inclusion at 365 degrees: open, modern, and fully aligned with the values of participation, accessibility, and equality.

The International Sport for All Federation (FISpT) is pleased to announce that Ms Filomena Fortes has been co-opted as a member of its Board. In addition, Ms Fortes has been proposed as an individual member of FISpT, with her admission to be formally confirmed at the next General Assembly in accordance with the Federation’s statutes.

Ms Fortes is an IOC Member contributing to its global mission. Within the IOC, she has served on several commissions, including the Sport and Active Society Commission, the Olympic Education Commission, and the Coordination Commission for the Games of the ###IV Olympiad Los Angeles 2028, as well as the Future Host Commission for the Games of the Olympiad and the Sustainability and Legacy Commission.

Ms Fortes is a member of the IOC’s Olympism365 commission.
