By reaching out to the under-privileged schools in the South and Centre of the Island (This process has now been extended to schools in Jaffna too) from the Seventies onwards, the Club has introduced cricketers like Champaka Ramanayake, Pramodaya Wickremasinghe,
Upul Chandana, Niroshan Bandaratileke, Athula Samarasekera, Indika De Saram, Chandika Hathurusinghe etc to the National Team. Current National Representatives at various levels include Suranga Lakamal, Isuru Udana, Gihan Rupesinghe, Jeevan Mendis, Sachithra Serasinghe and Ashan Priyanjan. The Club is presently on a re-development phase under a dynamic Management Committee and CEO. We invite you to come over and check out the plethora of facilities on offer to Members – tennis, squash, badminton, walking, private function bookings, the Oval Taverners Pub, the swimming pool and the state-of-the-art Gym with our own Personal Trainer to help you achieve your physical goals.
