LISCR FC players are reportedly refusing to a pratice match scheduled with Discoveries FC amid growing dissatisfaction over the club’s failure to provide football boots and other essential training materials ahead of the new season.

The situation reportedly affected a scheduled preseason practice match against Discoveries FC. The session was cancelled after a majority of LISCR players reportedly arrived with sneakers instead of football boots.

As a result, the technical staff and club officials were left with no option but to allow Gardnersville to conduct the practice session with Discoveries FC instead.

The reported development raises fresh concerns about LISCR FC’s preseason preparations as the club looks ahead to the new campaign.

AFC Paynesville Continues Player Justification – Day Two

Central Monrovia Fourth Division side AFC Paynesville has continued its three-day player justification exercise ahead of the 2026/27 LFA Fourth Division League season.

The second session was held today at the Kpelleh Town Sports Pitch in Johnsonville, with new and returning players competing for spots in the squad.

The exercise will conclude tomorrow, September 4, at 7:00 AM at the Stephen Tolbert Estate Field.
