LeFA PRESIDENT THANKS ALL FOOTBALL STAKEHOLDERS FOR SUPPORT TO LIKUENA
The President of the Lesotho Football Association, Ntate Lijane Nthunya, would like to express his heartfelt gratitude to the multitudes of Basotho who travelled to Bloemfontein to support the senior national team, Likuena, in the Group A second match against Morocco played at the Toyota Stadium.
LeFA President is well aware of how much of a sacrifice it is and has been for Basotho to have to travel to South Africa to watch Likuena's home matches.
"We are all feeling the pain, but I wish to thank all of our stakeholders that travelled to Bloemfontein to support the team in their big test playing the continent's number one ranked country.
Right from our Government who released civil servants early to watch the game, being a working day, the President of the Lesotho Sports and Recreation Commission and the Lesotho National Olympic Committee, the leadership of the Free State Province and the South African Football Association for allowing and supporting us to stage the game on their soil, the leadership of LeFA and its employees that made the game a successful event, our partners and corporate partners in Lesotho and South Africa, Basotho in the Free State Province, parents and families of the players, members of the media from the two countries and all supporters that came to rally behind Likuena.
We are grateful and plead with you all to continue to walk this journey with us. Lastly, I wish to also thank the Likuena coach Bob Mafoso and the whole technical team, the Technical Support Group and the players for fighting for our badge on the field of play."
