An International Summer Course is one of the most important and largest events in our Diamond Way school. Let’s spend this precious time together!
“You are Buddhism. Buddhism is not something outside, it is not something else. Buddhism is the way you eat, drink, make love, think, feel; all this is Buddhism. Never have there been so many educated, independent people with so much ability as we find today. This has never happened before. For the first time in history we are on a world-wide scale, held together by friendship and idealism that can produce this wonderful thing called Mahamudra communities.”
Lama Ole Nydahl – San Francisco 1995

Ona donose praktičnu i trajnu transformaciju tijela, govora i uma.

ENG:
Many people in the West may see Buddhism as a form of philosophy. This is true to the degree that Buddha’s teachings are completely logical. But philosophy works on the level of concepts. One takes pleasure in a perfect argument and then puts the book back on the shelf.
Buddha’s teachings, however, go beyond concepts. They produce practical and lasting transformation of body, speech, and mind. Making people aware of the daily functioning of their minds, as well as supplying a beyond personal view of the outer world, Buddha’s teachings deeply transform those practicing them.
“Buddhism in Everyday Life” is the topic of the lecture, which will be held by Buddhist teachers from Austria – students of Lama Ole Nydahl – Gerhard and Maxi Kukuvec.
The lecture will be in English with a translation into Montenegrin.

How do the disturbing emotions transform into the buddha wisdoms, and what do these wisdoms mean?
Lama Ole’s answer:
When looking at disturbing emotions, our view is very important: From the view of the eagle, everything is wisdom. From the view of the mole, everything is a disturbing emotion. Only few take the eagle’s view, while most experience anger, jealousy, etc. But if one doesn’t respond to the emotions, if one simply lets them appear in mind and dissolve in mind again, then an entirely new dimension appears, a completely new experience—the way coal dust transforms into diamonds.
When anger dissolves again, mirror-like wisdom appears—like a mirror showing everything as it is. One sees things and recognizes them precisely for what they are. One doesn’t add or remove anything. This ability to see clearly is compared to the lucidity of a diamond.
In the case of pride, one has the chance to transform narrow pride—thinking, “I am better than you!”—into all-inclusive pride, thinking, “We all are great!” And when pride dissolves back into the mind, then one suddenly recognizes that everything is composed of a great number of conditions. Nothing appears by itself; everything is interdependent. This is called equalizing wisdom, because everything takes on the same taste of richness—like jewels that shine by themselves.
