Our new boat is finally making its way home.

For us, this boat represents so much more than tradition, craftsmanship, and sport. It represents faith and respect for each other, and the beauty of friendship and inclusion.

Built by Boat Builder Mario Aquilina, known as ir-Ratal of TR Boats, and financed through the SIS A1.16.2024 project “Removing Barriers from Traditions and Sport: Let’s empower everyone, everywhere”.

If all goes well, this boat will make its debut tomorrow at the National Regatta, proudly rowed by a crew that will include para rower Kurt Farrugia together with his crewmates and friends Matthew Azzopardi, Roderick Briffa and Nathan Grech. They are guided in this journey by Lawrence Ciantar and Joseph Grima.

Here’s to new beginnings, teamwork, and a solid commitment to continue building a stronger, more inclusive rowing family.

This project has been funded by the Small Initiatives Support Scheme (SIS) managed by the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector (MCVS) supported by the Ministry for Inclusion and the Voluntary Sector (MIV).
