After the World War II, the game of football in Malta was re-enacted, falling under the responsibility of the Malta Football Association. Like other local villages and towns, the Zejtun population eagerly set up a football team, and in 1943 the name of Zejtun Corinthia

Gillmore Azzopardi joined the club ahead of the 2018–19 season.
He was part of the squad that competed in the Maltese Premier League during the 2020–21 season.
Across his spell with the club, he made more than 80 appearances, making him one of Żejtun Corinthians' most-capped players in recent years.
