Mentoring women leaders to trade hustle & grind for balance, wellbeing & peace of mind

24/08/2026

Sometimes we become so accustomed to carrying it all—to staying strong, vigilant and ready—that we forget what it feels like to soften.

To exhale.

To trust that we don’t have to hold everything together.

This is the invitation at the heart of my Flourish by Design retreats in San Miguel de Allende: space to put it down, reconnect with yourself and allow life to hold you for a while. ✨

DM me if your heart would like to learn more. 💛

For years, I believed resilience meant I could adapt to almost anything. And I could.

I could tolerate uncertainty. I could make difficult situations work. I could sacrifice my own needs. I could keep going. I could do more... and then a little more.

That was my strength. But every strength has a shadow.

The shadow of resilience is that we begin to normalize what was never meant to be normal. Constant pressure. Constant adaptation. Constantly carrying more while expecting even more of ourselves.

Over time, it simply becomes "life."
"I can handle it."
"I'll make it work."
"It's just a busy season."

And because we can carry it, we stop questioning whether we should.

Many successful women don't even realize how much they're carrying because it has become their normal.

We lead organizations. We care for family. We nurture relationships. We contribute to our communities. We mentor others. We hold the emotional labor that keeps so much of life and work moving forward.

We're capable. We care deeply. We take pride in doing meaningful work.

So we keep adding. Carrying. Giving. Adapting.
Not because anyone asked us to.
Because we can.

Until one day we realize we've built a life that depends on us carrying more than it was ever designed to.

The question isn't, Can I keep doing this? For many high-achieving women, the answer is yes.

A better question is: How sustainable is it?

How much longer can you continue at this pace before something begins to crack? Your health? Your relationships? Your wellbeing? Your sense of self? Or maybe it's simply the quiet exhaustion that has become so familiar, you no longer notice it's there.

What if the question isn't how much more I can carry... but how I can redesign my life and leadership so success becomes sustainable?

Because flourishing isn't about becoming stronger.
It's about designing a life that supports the leader you've become—without burnout, constant tradeoffs, or sacrificing yourself.

I'd love to hear...
When did you realize your resilience had crossed the line into self-sacrifice?

So many of us wear our capacity like a badge of honor.
We become the one who can carry more, solve more, give more, endure more.
But strength isn’t measured by how much we can hold.
Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is put something down.
To rest.
To receive.
To remember that our value has never depended on our productivity, our performance, or our ability to carry the weight of the world . 🤍

We spend so much of our lives searching for answers outside ourselves—working harder, trying to figure it all out, believing the next achievement or milestone will finally bring clarity.

But what if the wisdom we’re seeking has been within us all along?

Perhaps the invitation isn’t to strive for more.

Perhaps it’s to slow down.

To soften.

To create enough space that we can finally hear the quiet voice that’s been patiently guiding us all along.

Sometimes the next right step doesn’t arrive in the noise.

It arrives in the stillness.

✨ The soul always knows the way.

Our work is to create a life quiet enough to hear it.

Life rarely gives us the whole map. Most of the time, we can only see the next step.

That’s one of the many reasons I keep returning to San Miguel de Allende. It’s a city that invites you to slow down, wander, notice, and trust that something beautiful is waiting around the next corner.

Over the coming 6-8 months I’ll be hosting a series of intimate retreats in this magical city for women who are ready to pause, reconnect with themselves, and create a more intentional next chapter—whether that’s restoring your nervous system, redesigning your life and leadership, or simply giving yourself permission to breathe again.

If San Miguel has been calling you—or you feel like it’s time to take your next step—I’d love to invite you to join one of our upcoming virtual information sessions.

✨ Comment SAN MIGUEL or send me a DM, and I’ll send you the details.

Sometimes the next step changes everything. ❤️
