Chidera Ezeakor and Enoch Adegoke both stormed to an identical time of 10.15s in a thrilling finish. It was a new PB for Ezeakor, and a Season’s Best for Enoch Adegoke.

Wrapping up her first African Senior Championships with TWO GOLD 🥇🥇medals for Nigeria 🇳🇬
Toheebat Jimoh claimed her second GOLD medal of the Championships, running the second leg in the Women’s 4x400m.
Jimoh, alongside Esther Okon, Jecinter Lawrence, and Patience Okon-George powered Nigeria to victory in 3:29.25.

GOLD for Nigeria at their first African Senior Championships! 🇳🇬🥇
Team MTN Athletes, Ezekiel Asuquo and Toheebat Jimoh won GOLD in the mixed 4x400m at the African Senior Championships in Accra.
Asuquo got Team Nigeria off to a strong start on the opening leg before handing over to Jimoh.
Alongside Victor Sampson and Patience Okon-George, they brought round the baton in a time of 3:16.41.

On his World Relays debut, Ezekiel Asuquo took on the anchor leg for Team Nigeria in the men’s 4x400m, and fought all the way to the line.
He anchored Nigeria to a Season’s Best of 3:01.04.
The quartet finished 6th in Heat 1, and will be back for the repechage on Sunday, hoping to secure an automatic ticket for 2027 World Championships in Beijing.

Young, but she showed up ready for the big moment.
Team MTN’s Toheebat Jimoh made her senior debut for Nigeria at the World Athletics Relays in Gaborone, running the 2nd leg in Heat 1 of the women’s 4x400m.
Up against experienced athletes, and one of the youngest in the field, she held her own on the global stage. Together with her teammates, they ran a time of 3:30.71 to finish 6th.
They will return on Day 2 for the repechage, hoping to secure an automatic qualification ticket to Beijing.
