Every problem in Nigeria has two types of people trying to solve it.

The engineer. And the entrepreneur.

Engineering rewards what's clever. The bigger the grant, the more impressive the methodology. Add AI to anything right now and the funding follows immediately.

Entrepreneurship rewards what's useful. What works. What reaches the person it was built for. What survives in the real world.

Nigeria has been funding clever for a very long time.
While useful is still waiting.

You can publish 100 research papers. Collect millions in grants. And not one of those papers ever reached the farmer, the patient, the community it was written about.

The system rewarded you perfectly.
The problem is still there.

Research without implementation is incomplete. A discovery that never leaves the page is not a solution. It is a document.

𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫, 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫.
𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫, 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫.

The gap between those two people is where Nigeria's greatest problems are still waiting to be solved.

When I started Tazémi, I wanted to own the solution. End to end.

I thought I had cracked it.

Transit monitoring device. GPS. Gas sensors. AI analysis. Real-time spoilage advisories. Multiple revenue streams. A full ecosystem built around one tomato.

Then I stress-tested it.
One question broke everything:
What kind of trucks do tomato aggregators actually use?

Over 90% are open trucks.
My device only worked on closed trucks.

Almost a year of work. Cut. Completely.

Pivots aren't clean boardroom decisions. This was accepting that something I had poured real time, real energy, real belief into, had to go. Not because it was bad engineering. Because it didn't fit the world it was supposed to serve.

That's a different kind of pain.

So I let go. Deliberately. Not from weakness, from clarity.

No trucks. No cold chain. No transit device.
Control the outcome. Don't own the chain.

Tazémi today is not what I originally designed.
It's better. Because reality got to edit it.

Build with everything you have. But hold it loosely.

The market will always know something you don't.

Ramadan 1447AH — Final Iftar

Everything comes to an end…
even Ramadan.
But Allah remains.

So we call upon Him:
يَا آخِرُ بِلَا انْتِهَاءٍ
O Allah, accept from us what we did in this month.

Forgive what we fell short in.

Do not let this be the last Ramadan we witness.

And let us leave this month
better than we entered it.

Ramadan 1447AH — Day 30 (Sahur)

Ramadan may be ending…
but Allah is not leaving us.

He was there before this month…
and He will remain after it.

So we call upon Him:
يَا أَوَّلُ بِلَا ابْتِدَاءٍ
O Allah, just as You guided us to Ramadan,
guide us after Ramadan.

Let what we built in this month
remain with us for the rest of our lives.

Ramadan 1447AH — Day 29 (Sahur)

After all the effort…
all the duʿā’…
all the Ibadah…

What we truly need is this:
That Allah is enough for us.

So we call upon Him:
يَا حَسْبِي
O Allah, be enough for us—
in what we fear…
in what we hope for…
in what we cannot control.

And if this is Laylatul Qadr,
let it be enough that You are pleased with us.

Ramadan 1447AH — Day 28 (Iftar)

Victory is not always seen…
sometimes it is protection,
sometimes it is guidance,
sometimes it is staying firm when others fall.

So we call upon Him:
يَا نَاصِرَ الْأَوْلِيَاءِ
O Allah, support us in obeying You.

Support us against our souls, our weakness, and our distractions.

And in these final nights,
make us among those You support…
those You draw close…
and those You accept completely.
