To confirm:
The referee of our Repo Bombers vs Orowhana game, unfortunately suffered an injury and was unable to continue officiating the match.
There were no other approved referees available to take over and complete the game.
TRL's ruling is that if a game is abandoned due to a referee injury, and the stoppage occurs in the first half, the match must be rescheduled. If the stoppage occurs in the second half, the score at the time of abandonment stands and the game is considered complete.
The game was stopped 28 minutes into the first half, therefore it must be replayed.
At this stage, the proposed date for the replay is Wednesday 8 July.
Time and venue are still to be confirmed.
