How far do you usually swim?

Our pool is 25 metres long, which means:

10 lengths = 250m
20 lengths = 500m
40 lengths = 1km

How many are you doing?

Which one are you?

A: Head down, count the lengths.
B: A few lengths and a good chat.
C: I’m really here for a Spa.
D: Getting in is an achievement and that counts.
E: it entertains the kids

There’s a lot happening behind the scenes before anyone even dips a toe in the water. Would you like to know more about what happens to make sure the pool is ready for everyone to enjoy?

Hi swimmers, just a heads up about our annual closure period for pool maintenance, beginning next Monday (20 July). We will be closed for 2 weeks, reopening on Monday, 3 August 2026.

Please note that the Balclutha Centennial Pool will be closed from Monday 20 July and will reopen on Monday 3 August.

During this time we'll be carrying out annual maintenance, including work that couldn't be completed during our recent breakdowns.

This maintenance is important to help keep the pool in the best possible condition for everyone to enjoy.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the pool on Monday 3 August.
