📢 Calling all Parents. So far we are looking to have a massive 14 teams entering the Summer Football League. This is great... but in the other hand we have 4 coaches. That is 10 teams without a coach.

This is a 5 week season, if any parents at all can put their hand up to coach, we really need to hear from you. Please text 021031 5135 asap. If we can't get coaches, teams will have to be bigger which means limited game time.

Coaching consists of communicating game times, meeting at the field you are playing on, and refereeing/guiding the players on the field, picking a player of the day (if you choose to)and collecting shirts back at the end of the season. You will be provided with a game ball, shirts and a player of the day trophy if you choose to have one.📢

Just a reminder. Prizegiving is tomorrow night (Friday the 4th of September). The BBQ will be going from 5:30, so come along, have a free sausage and bread and purchase a nice refreshing drink from the Bar.
Prizegiving itself will start at 5:50.

Winter football may be wrapping up, but the fun doesn’t have to stop!

5th Grade – 15th Grade

Pre-Academy Game Day 2 | Marlins

The Bell Block Marlins also travelled to Wanaganui today. They started their day against Western Rangers, who came away with a 2–1 win, followed by Palmerston Marist, who took the win 3–2.

Both games were so close, and there were just a couple of little things that the opposition were able to capitalise on. But the boys kept fighting right to the end and never gave up.

Most importantly, they showed great sportsmanship throughout the day, supported each other, kept their heads up and continued to give it their all. That’s really all we can ask for.

It’s not always about the result on the scoreboard, it’s about how you play, how you handle the tough moments and how you come back together as a team. And these boys can definitely be proud of themselves today.

We hope they all had fun, enjoyed themselves and walked away knowing just how well they did. They should be proud! 👏❤️⚽️

Pre-Academy Game Day 2 | Makos

The Bell Block Makos headed down to Wanganui today for Round 2 of Pre-Academy, and what a day it was!
The boys battled hard in both games, coming away with a 3–3 draw against Wanganui Athletics in their first match, followed by a 1–1 draw against Port Hill, who travelled all the way from Napier. 👏
Most importantly, we saw some awesome growth and improvement from the boys today. Their passing, communication, teamwork and confidence continue to develop, and it was fantastic to see them putting into practice the things they’ve been working on.
We couldn’t be prouder of the progress this group is making.

That’s exactly what Pre-Academy is all about — learning, developing, working together and enjoying the game!
Awesome effort today, boys. Keep it up! 🔥⚽️

📢 We have been receiving a high volume of inquiries regarding summer soccer. All information will be released in the next week or two. We are just waiting till we are through this season before we move into the next. Please watch this space.
