Proud to officially announce the Southern Wahine crew selected to represent Southern at the 2026 IDBF Club Crew World Championships in Hualien, Taiwan 🇹🇼

This campaign is built on hard work, grit, sacrifice and the love we all share for this sport. Every paddler, coach and supporter behind this team has helped make this journey possible and now we get the chance to take Southern Dragons onto the world stage together.

We can’t wait to wear the our top with pride and represent our club, our whānau and New Zealand internationally. ❤️🖤

🚨 STOLEN GEAR – PLEASE SHARE 🚨

Our Southern Dragons gear has been stolen from a members vehicle, including a distinctive red and black paddle and a Hutchwilco life jacket.

Paddle had “Simon” on it and both items should have 18 on it including our name “Southern dragons”

If you’ve seen this paddle or life jacket, or notice anything being sold that looks like it, please reach out immediately.

Please keep an eye on Marketplace, Trade Me, and local groups.

From day one we set a standard… not just to compete, but to build something real. Something built on hard mahi, sacrifice and trust in each other.

Early mornings, Tough sessions and showing up when it would’ve been easier not to. Every paddle, every rep and every moment added up.

We didn’t rely on luck or shortcuts. We built this. A fast boat, a strong culture and a crew that backs each other no matter what.

And when it came time to race… we proved where we belong. Standing up with the best, earning our place and bringing home results we can be proud of.

More than medals, this season showed who we are.
