We are seriously short on marshals and van drivers, and we can’t run this event without you. If you’ve ever enjoyed the trails, the racing, or the MTB community here in Dunedin, this is the moment where your help genuinely makes the difference.
✅ Marshals — You’ll be stationed along the course helping keep riders safe, spotting issues, and keeping the race flowing smoothly. It’s one of the best ways to be right in the action without being on the bike. No prior experience required - just need to be over 16 years of age
✅ Van Drivers — You’ll help shuttle riders to the top, keeping the day running on schedule. Only a full license required.
💥 Volunteer perk: Every volunteer can nominate a rider for FREE race entry. It’s a massive help for the event and a huge boost for a mate wanting to race.
Every year this event relies on volunteers to make it happen, and right now we need people more than ever. If we don’t get enough support, the event simply can’t run as planned.
If you can spare a few hours, step up and join the team. Your help directly supports racing in Dunedin and keeps events like this alive.

So good, we thought we’d do it again!
** SOCIAL RIDE - 15TH OCTOBER **
Where: Signal Hill - Meet at the main carpark at the foot of the hill (road past Logan Park High School carpark)
When: Riding at 6pm
Who: If you’re a local rider who want to ride with mates, make new mates, or explore new local trails - these rides are for you. Riders should be comfortable riding grade 2+ trails.
Similar to last week, we’ll keep an eye on the weather, but we will likely have one guide to help those who are keen to find their way down a blue run, and one to help folks find their way down the easy down.
The rest of you lot, come along an choose your own adventure!
